- Beautiful watch! Love it and I get so many compliments on it! My only upset is that because it is rose gold "plated", the normal everyday wear and tear is more noticeable. I work at a desk all day and am hardly rough on my jewelry, but I have noticed the underside of the watch getting slightly marked up. This started happening within a week or two of wearing it. It is only on the underside, and of course I'm the only one who notices it, but this was my concern from the beginning about getting a "plated" watch. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get rid of the marks or how to prevent them, I would be happy to hear it! Overall, love the watch! But again, just a little disappointed that such a high quality and expensive watch could get discolored so easily.

I've been curious about rolex for a while.i like submariners and i'd wanna get a watch that will hold some sort of value and probably wear pretty often. I take pretty good care of my watches, and i was looking at pre-owned from our sponsers. I like the look of this one(definitely a MOP fan): wallachswatches/product117.htmlbut i'm put off by the fact that it's a 'custom dial' is this dial going to hurt the value?

Oris Watch ID- My First Blunder?
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this or not but I bought an Oris Big Wind Day that I thought was stunning. Then tried to research the movement and could find nothing on it at all. I haven't paid but did I end up with a replica or what? Been a quartz user all my life then I realize that manual / auto watches are a whole other world. Yikes!

D Blue dilemma
Back in October 2017 I had an opportunity to purchase a D Blue but I passed because I purchased a watch in August and another watch in October so I thought it would be too quick for the D Blue but I spoke to my AD today and he told me I would get the next D Blue that he gets in but it would require a 50% non refundable deposit but my price would be locked in at today¡¯s price. He¡¯s willing to throw in a watch winder in the deal. I¡¯m wondering if I should pull the trigger now or wait for after Basel. What to do?Here¡¯s a wrist shot from October 2017 on a 6 3/4 wrist. I have liked watches since I was in junior high and got a nice quartz Seiko from my father for Christmas in about 1983. I had gotten several quartz Hamilton watches as gifts from my wife over the years until I graduated from college and my mother gave me the gift of:I liked it because it was in the James Bond movie and I wore this quartz watch as my daily for many years. It seems like the bezel may have faded over time- now I know that ¡°patina¡± is something y¡¯all like :)As a complete surprise Christmas present, my wife put this in my stocking:Over time I came to be of the opinion that this was the perfect watch with a simple elegance that just couldn¡¯t be improved on, kind of the MacBook of the watch world. At that point I thought it would be the last watch I would wear until I retire and buy a Day-Date- because of course that is the watch you get when you retire.
