- Such a beautiful watch but like all other reviewers I had the same blem with the band getting dirty. It was ruined after one wear and I have tried everything to clean it but have had no luck! Will have to think twice next time when it comes to a white watch.

If, somewhere out there, there is a harmonious valley in which watch-lovers can meditate, if there is a monastery in which they can discover inner peace – then Cartier’s new Maison de Métiers d’Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds is likely to be that Shangri-La. It’s a place where one can admire and concentrate on the meticulous effort that makes the dials of haute horology.Cartier has transformed an old barn into a state-of-the-art watchmaking facility, showroom and greeting space for guests. In doing so, they’ve fulfilled the manufacture’s goal of providing a space that blends the company’s rich history with its current innovative watchmaking techniques. 2 OF 15 The ground floor sets the mood in blending the old and the new. I inherited this Junghans from my grandfather, along with some other watches. It's been sitting in a box for a while so I thought I'd pull it out and get some more info on it.I'm not sure of the date of this watch, it looked to be goldfilled, but bezel still had some gold on it. I believe he got this in Germany, he was a US navy Sailor from 1943-1980's. He traveled all over the world and picked up a collection of junk, sometimes picking up watches and stuff. It doesn't run anymore, and honestly I think it's in pitiful condition for a watch of mine.So my question is: Is it worth restoring? Or is it destine to become a parts watch?Oh, and how do I open it?
Hello all,Medium term lurker and first time poster! I find myself in a bit of a quandry and was keen to gauge some general opinion by calling upon the collective wisdom of the forum.I currently have a stainless/yellow gold bimetal daytona (ref 116523, black dial) which I purchased a month or so ago with a view to it being a daily wear (work in an office, wear a suit). To be honest I rushed into the purchase and have found I don't love the watch, mainly due to the bimetal aspect - I find it lacks a bit of versatility, and is perhaps too flash for everday work wear (meeting clients), and not flashy enough to be really special that only comes out a couple of times a month.....As such I have decided to trade it for a stainless daily wearer, and then save up for something else for weekend wear/special occasions (something in Rose Gold or White Gold, love the Daytona ref 116515 LN).My initial thought process was simply trade it for a stainless Daytona. This won't really cost me anything and I
I do not know a whole lot about Panerai and have been doing some research on the brand. While doing my research, I see that at least the 184 and 242 have a JLC movement. What are the thoughts on the JLC movement? Will the limited number of timepieces with this movement, OPXIII I think, make them more collectible or more valuable?
With Rolex now releasing SS models of previous PM only, does anyone think weĄŻll see in the future a SS or TT Day-Date?
