Piaget 14254 wrist watches news:
Most watch fans know Graham best for sporty models like the Chronofighter and Silverstone. Now the Swiss brand with British roots establishes its haute horlogerie bona fides with the new Geo. Graham the Moon limited edition, a complicated, astronomical-inspired timepiece with a flying tourbillon and a perpetual moon retrograde function. The watch, like the brand, is named for 18th-century clockmaker George Graham (1673-1751) who was a contemporary and friend to early astronomers such as Sir Isaac Newton. George Graham incorporated Newton’s theories of gravitation into his horological designs and was fascinated by the moon and its role in the development of timekeeping. Graham also built the master clock for the Greenwich Royal Observatory in London. The timepiece that bears his name ¡ª which is limited to only 20 pieces worldwide ¡ª pays tribute to that lunar fascination with its signature feature, a highly precise, perpetual, retrograde moon-phase indication whose cycle is calculate
I just joined the elite watch world (at least in my opinion) by adding a Sea-Dweller. My previous watches were Movado watches and while they got the job done, the Rolex Sea-Dweller is just a beatiful time piece that I plan to cherish foreverI'm a bit upset at myself for not buying the watch in February when I 1st decided that this was my favorite watch in the under $6,000 price range. When I went to the AD I was shocked to see the price increase but the AD was nice enough to give me the old price so I couldn't complain. I guess it cost me a few hundred dollars waiting 2 monthsAnyhow, on to my question....I think my Rolex is screwy, for some reason the date changes at 9PM instead of midnight, what is the deal with that? Is this a Rolex thing or is my watch messed up?Thanks in advanceLarry
Hey guys !In yesterday's mail I received my 1917 Sterling Silver Waltham Trench Watch that I got FOR FREE using just a portion of my bay bucks that I amassed over the past quarter.Just by looking at the seller's photos I knew that this one had MANY issues but not a big deal, I wanted the case!Walthams really didn't come in this sterling silver Illinois case, the crown and stem were missing, broken movement, bad crystal, dented case, bad hands and a VERY strange looking dial.Within minutes I started to break down the watch and once the movement was out of the case my suspicions were correct, the dial was VERY strange! This oddity was VERY difficult to see in the seller's pictures due to the radium burned yellow plastic crystal (glass turns purple when radium burned). The strange thing is that Waltham did not make double sunk size 3/0s dials ! ! ! But once I got the movement out of the case I saw something that I haven't ever seen before ! ! !It was a PAPER military numeral ring with radiu
Being a MOP fan, I waited til this beauty popped up for sale. Always wanted a Bali Ha'i but passed on many blue sunray dials. There are limited to only 50 made per dial. I was happy to grab #11. The ETA 2893 high grade movement is as smooth as silk. You can feel the difference on the wind.
Guys I need some help please, can those of you who own the reference 5070 (mainly G and R) do me a favor? I'm curious what booklets came with the watch. I know there's a specific 5070 booklet which is thin, but I'm wondering if there was an additional booklet titled manual winding movements which lists the CH27-70 movement or not. I would love to see pics of what you have.Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
