- This is a great watch. I've worn it to the gym and it holds up nicely. I was worried that it would be too , but it's just right.

- Absolutely loved the straps, and alligator, but I didn't care for the metal. I tried to like it, but the dull tone wasn't for me. After being on the fence, I'm going to have to return it.

If you are interested in my new book The World's Most Expensive Watches, John and I discuss it after I am pleasantly surprised with his reaction. Patek Philippe releases their most complicated watch to date with the Grandmaster Chime 5175 and we discuss its high and low points. We also compare the feelings people have toward Patek Philippe versus Hublot and enter an interesting discussion of comparing and contrasting.Listen to the HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 165 here. Hello, it's been a while, a long while with other things in life. Still love watches just been busy. So here is the situation, I have (2) subs 16610 & 16613 and an ExpII. All purchased in 1995, yeah, big watch year for me. So a co-worker of my wife decides to pick a new 116610 for her 10 anniversary gift from her employer (yeah, they get a Rolex at 10 years). She got it to sell it, she does not like watches. So, I have a 10 yr old 11610 in MINT condition, do I sell it and get the 116610? Since I have been out of the market for years I am not sure if this makes sense. She is willing to sell it to me for $6800-7000 US. retail is $8500, so about 20% off. The warrenty is in her name 5/2015. I have the watch in my safe, it's unworn. What's the current street for a F 16610 in mint contition with all the paperwork? Thanks guys.
I strapped up a few of my smaller sized cases with finds from Ebay. 99% of the narrow straps found there are for Ladies watches and only 6 ? in long which just doesn¡¯t cut the mustard if I plan on wearing many of my Bulovas and some Elgins and Walthams. Here¡¯s an example of a Lord Elgin from 1945. It has a 21j 559 and the star on the dial indicates it¡¯s ¡°timed to the stars¡±.Next is a little freckle faced Bulova made in 1949.It¡¯s running a 17j 10BM movement and has a touch of engraving on the bezel that I need to pick out with some enamel.Third has a 1933 Sapphire filled Waltham . This is the 15j movement in the ¡° Jewel¡± family of 6/0¡¯s. I think this is a jobber case but the rose gold and copper dial are very attractive. I haven¡¯t seen enough 30¡¯s Waltham cases to know if they signed all of their factory watches. 6/0 jobber cases are fairly common.Joel
hi all! as i said, i am new to watches and looking to buy something soon under $200. i really like the simplistic style of the rolex submariner and am looking for something simmilar. i am interested in the invicta pro diver, but there appears to be about 10 different model numbers floating around the internet for the plain black dial with stainless steel band. if anyone could tell me which of those may be better than the others (i see swiss and japanese movements, automatic and battery power, etc) and/or another watch in my price range that has a similar style that is better. waterproof is a must. battery power preferred as i do not wear one daily
Anyone know the Mexican retail on a 114060 - Sub No Date? I am visiting in a few weeks and might purchase while down there. Many thanks.
