Rado R32321012 wrist watches news:
The latest ticking chef d’oeuvre from Saxon watchmaker A. Lange & S?hne is a horological triple threat and then some. Unveiled this week at SIHH 2016 in Geneva, the A. Lange & S?hne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon incorporates three major complications with five supplementary functions. The three complications are a flyback chronograph, a perpetual calendar, and a tourbillon (not a complication in the classical sense but widely regarded as one by many, and certainly a mark of high watchmaking expertise). As is typical with Lange, however, there is more to each of these mechanisms, as we discover by examining each word in this new model*s moniker.※Datograph§ is A. Lange & S?hne*s designation for the combined mechanism of a column-wheel chronograph, with a precisely jumping minute counter and a flyback function, and the typical Lange ※outsize§ date indication. For this watch, Lange incorporated the system that it unveiled to great acclaim in its Datograph Up/Down model, w
I recently learned that some people have been putting off listening to the podcast because they think we MIGHT be inanely talking products they don't care about. While there is, no doubt, discussion of pointless topics, I, myself, am quite impressed at how amusing we are. I seriously laugh at myself sometimes. We actually have quite a good show!Listen to HourTime Show watch podcast Episode 43 here.
I've been cleaning and polishing the watch and band all morning. Mostly just years of gunk that had to be removed.Once the grime was cleared away, it showed a watch in very good condition. The case is 10K gold and the dial has a cross woven cloth look, in gold as well. The hands are gold, as well as the faceted markers which catch the light and make the watch sparkle. The 760 movement winds freely and has kept "perfect time" for the last 8 hours, though I will have it sent off to the watchmaker to have it serviced at some point this year.Interestingly enough, it came with a gold capped Speidel band with a built in calendar. The calendar is contained in a little compartment and is basically a paper scroll that is wound to advance the month. The one on this band is from 1970. I wonder if they still make the little calendar? The Speidel band is in great shape and I will save it for another watch, but I have a Kelaran Ostrich strap coming.
Hello all,I am perplexed..I have a GP Seahawk II Pro in gold and titanium that is running fast and erratic. I bought it earlier in the year and it was running 3-4 mins fast per day. I sent it off to a GP certified shop for a complete overhaul.I keep it on an Orbita winder at their recommended setting of 500 rpd.I just noticed today that it appears to be running 30 secs fast PER HOUR. I sent a note to the shop that did the service and they said that it could be magnetized or that the winder is putting too much pressure on the mainspring.I don't understand how either of these could be effecting the watch. I have no idea how the watch could have gotten magnetized in the first place and I would have thought that the Orbita database would be factory specs. Is there a simple way to de-magnetize the watch at home?I'm open for all suggestionsPlease help!!CheersMark
No two dials are alike.
