Rado R13477172 wrist watches news:
There was a time when as far as I recall, most folk bought a plain simple watch with a dial, hands and hour markers. You know, the classical, dress-style watch. Then came the diver and more consumer uptake in chronographs, the wrist computer, all of which I think have taken " market share " as it were from the classical design. What if, instead of the divers' bezel, say the chronograph or GMT become the thing on a watch to have? Based on the belief that more divers' watches are sold than any other, I'm asking if this is a trend created by marketing and thus mental conditioning. I'm not saying we're playing ' follow the leader ' merely asking why it is we seem to like certain styles. What do you think pals? Y'all have a good week ahead nowZIN
Last Friday night, at almost 1:00 AM, I was just about to go to bed, when I thought I'd check the 'Elgin' listings on Ebay one last time before bed. One of them caught my eye. It was an uncommon watch, but one I thought I'd seen before. I was pretty sure it was one of the solid gold ones. I checked out the other pictures, and there it was, right underneath the engraving, upside down..."14k Gold Apex" For $49.00. FORTY NINE DOLLARS!!!! I hit the "Buy It Now" button so fast an hard I was afraid I'd break my mouse!THEN I checked through the ads. Sure enough, not only is it solid gold, but also it was pretty much top of the line! $200, when other solid gold watches were $100-150. $2000, adjusted for inflation! For $49.00. FORTY NINE DOLLARS!!!! Then I waited. I was afraid the seller, who had only 39 feedback entries, might look closer at his item and decide that taking the feedback hit would be worth it to save the hundreds of dollars he was giving up.Monday, it listed as 'S
Hi All,I'm from the Rolex Forum (couple floors up)Pretty well versed in Rolex watches at this point but know next to nothing about AP. Find AP references to be extremely pretty but confusing because of all the different models. I like the RO but am never clear about all the different sizes. Can anyone attempt to explain the lineup to me? For instance, what is the most popular or best selling AP watch? What is the submariner equivalent (in terms of popularity and recognition)?
Hello,I had an Omega PO 42mm that I sold to buy the XL. Also, my old 42 is a non-chrono and I am looking for a chrono this time. I have this model (see link) pre-owned very good condition. The only thing is he does not have any red cards. He is willing to go to any Omega Dealer to aunthenticate. My question is what is good price to pay for this..omegawatches/gents/se...hrono/29105081ThanksEmil
