My wife and I would like to thank Piaget and HODINKEE for our trip to Switzerland to visit Piaget, and to see its manufacture in La Cote aux Fees, and its headquarters in Geneva.Here are a few of my thoughts:Proud of being Piaget and taking pride in one's work: When I was listening to Yves Bornard (who's been with the company for 40+ years!) talk about the history of Piaget I could see his glowing pride. When the watchmakers showed us what they are working on, I too could see their pride in being Piaget, and how proud they are with their work. Yves takes out an employee log book from the 1940s. Serious question for those who own an Omega
Well, I am only 18, but I love watches. I dont know what it is but I just love wearing an expensive and quality timepiece. In fact my entire day revolves around the time on my wrist. I am a senior in High School, here in New York, about 30 minutes from Manhattan. I was thinkin, should I save up for an Omega of my choice? I mean, it seems like a good idea. I would love to have am Omega that I worked my butt of to have, my senior year in High School. Then when I go to college, hopefully Fordham University, I will have it on my wrist the whole time until I graduate and even after that when I own my apartment in Manhattan and work down there. I just think it is a great idea. I mean it is something I will have forever. I was just wondering what everyones thoughts were on this little idea of mine. Currently, my best watch is a Tissot Quadrato, swiss made with a saphire crystal. I am so happy I got it, and I am sure I will have that for a very long time also. Thanks guys!!

Beginners watch collection
Heading for 3 months now on my new hobby and would be interested on any opinions you guys may have. Had purchased a couple of others but they were not to my liking. Please take a look and let me know what you think. 5726 - good idea?
Hello,I am thinking of purchasing the 5726 from my AD when available. It will become my joint daily wearer alongside my 5205R black dial.Any thoughts on this reference? Specifically if the bezel is a scratch magnet and if the finish holds up well to daily usage? I like my watches to stay looking fresh. I would mostly use it on the leather strap but also put it on the composite for holidays where we would be by the pool.Also any alternative suggestions in case there's a model I've missed? I want a little more sporty design, in white metal, on a strap and a case that isn't too thin (so no 5712). Given these factors the Nautilus and specifically the 5726 seems the obvious choice. I think the watch itself is a real beauty and I love the symmetry of the dial in addition to the slightly chunky Nautilus case - so much presence! The only negative really is that I already have the AC complication on my 5205.Any thoughts? Thanks.

Picked up my OP39
Well, I went to the mall today and stopped my my AD to say hi to my sales guy and hammer him about getting me my Daytona C, and wouldnt you know it, I left there with an Oyster Perpetual 39. It has the Rhodium dial and I just love the simplicity of it!....GRRR I had not intention to buy a Rolex on black friday. Well, hopefully this will ad more pulling power for him to get me my Daytona! been on the wait list for a year and a half now! Thoughts on the OP? I dont see many post about it..
