Roger Dubuis Roger Dubuis 34829 wrist watches news:
Hi folks, has anybody seen such watch latetly ? Are there still some around ? Years ago I sold mine. I guess, I want have one again. Who can help ?louis
Many of you may not have a "junk watch". I did not think there was one in our house until my wife found one tossed in a box. So, I thought, many of you may. She picked this thing up about 20 years ago and put it away (lost it) about 16 to 18 years ago to the best we can estimate. Anyway it obviously was not running and she asked me if I thought it would with a new battery? I told her, who would care? She then let me know she did so off with the back and off to Wally World I go. Slam in the new one and presto, the thing is running! That was about two months ago and it has gained all of one minute! The brand is "Jordache" obviously something they had made for as an ad gimmick. Buy two pair of jeans and get a watch for $1 or something like that. Stamped on the back it says, Japan which surprised me I really thought it would be China. Also it states, base metal with ss back. So even though they probably made about a half dozen to a dozen of these for the cost of one battery ($4) it is runni
Hello all, I am a new member and have just built up an interest in watch collecting. I am a college student so I do not have a big budget. Right now i'm looking to pick up a nice watch for roughly between 100-250 dollars. I have currently been eyeing this AX 1192 watch.A|X Armani Exchange Watch, Men's Black Ion Plated Stainless Steel Bracelet 50mm AX1192 - A|X Armani Exchange - Jewelry & Watches - Macy'sI have heard negative things about Armani Exchange and I know it really isn't a real Armani Company so im not dead set on this idea. With my budget I know I can't afford many of the top quality brands but I am looking mostly for good style not a lifetime bulletproof guarantee, that being said I also don't want a watch that will Fall apart within a year and be a waste. Could anyone speak to the quality or lack thereof of Armani Exchange, Emporio Armani, and Invicta watches? Also does anyone have a good suggestion to look at for my price point of 100-250$?
I don¡¯t come in here very often as I have nothing valuable to add. However, I¡¯m in a hotel in Mumbai and found a most amazing little shop run by a watchmaker. He has all sorts of instruments in there; telescopes, sextants, compasses, binoculars, clocks and, of course, watches. Most of the watches he has are vintage and a couple of those were PP. Obviously the straps are not original but I¡¯d like to hear your thoughts. The first watch in the pictures apparently dates back to the 1920s (I think) and is for sale at US$20k. The other two are around 1930 or 1940 but I lost track with all the numbers; they¡¯re about US$14k
