Breguet built the first modern travel clock in 1796. He equipped it with a balance spring, successfully replacing the pendulum balance that was unfit for travel. Glass-covered on four sides and small in size, this clock bore the number 178. In April 1798, General Bonaparte purchased it to take with him on his Egyptian campaign. Today, the Breguet collection still includes a travel clock fitted with both a hand-wound mechanical movement and thermometer, and it is on this clock that Breguet has based a limited series of seven travel clocks, the first of which, number one of seven, they have donated to Only Watch.The clock is in the Art Deco style with columns and traditionally hand-guilloch¨¦ dial. Breguet craftsmen still use guillochage lathes designed and built over a century ago. Once the dial plate has been hand-guillochaged, it is silver coated using techniques developed over two centuries ago. How do I get my hands on an Omega pen? I've seen them on this site so I was wondering what one has to do? I own four Omega's already (which probably have paid for a pen 1000+ times over) so what's the scoop?

Does anyone know where I might be able to get my hands on a pair of original hands for this Hamilton? The replacements don't do it justice. I believe the subseconds hand is still original.

Hello!I was thinking, did you see anyone who have changed the bezel or dial on his Ploprof? For example, someone who have the black Ploprof (like me) change the bezel, from black to white. I have seen all these threads where people complain about availability, pricing etc. I love watches, but right now I am a one watch person. I have a sub c and bought it two years ago. I am already seeing it go for 15% more than what I bought it at from a trusted seller.I will not be in the market for a 2nd watch and personally I love the Rolex strategy. The only thing I own that has gone up in value is my house and maybe some investments. I hope Rolex keeps this up and value just rises. I did buy this to give to my son in about 20 years. I honestly would not be mad if he was not into watches but we could sell it and make a great profit. I also would not mind if he did like watches and I gave it to him, but over time money was worth more and he could sell and make a great profit. Anyone else feel this way?
