Seiko SRP423 wrist watches news:
I've just got to pull the trigger and get it done. I hope it isn't anything $erious. I've been planning on getting it serviced. It's been 13 years. Keeps time +/-0 a day for days on end. BUT - I've noticed noise when I move the watch. It's the rotor. There's no doubt, but it is getting noisy.I pulled the case off the bracelet and gave it a shake. It sounds like there are ball bearings spinning around in there. rolling not loose and rattling like spray paint, but yikes it is VERY audible.Dirty dirty dirty. I'm calling RSC Dallas on Monday AM and getting the show on the road. I'll miss the wrinkles and warts, but I'm going to have them do the polish and replace the bezel.
folks, I'm really thinking about getting another Omega.I currently own the 2254.50.00 and the 2538.50.00 and was wondering a la Mac62 what you folks thought I should go with next.the current choices are.1. the Black Dial GMT 2234 2. the 42mm Black Dial AT 2502?3. the Speedmaster Pro 3573 or 3572remember these are what I have, and I am a diver (real one) but I'm not always in the water.. it's been a while actually.oh, and please give reasons for your nomination....thanksdiver88:)
Hey Guys/Gals:Another private deal led me to my latest acquisition:Seiko S-Wave, August 1999 issuecherry red, helmet-like casing, heavy (139 grams), SOLID brushed/polished bracelet, signed crown, diver's buckle, good lume, excellently aligned day/date calendar, partially skeletonized hands chrome hands, chrome second hand with lume tip, seconds/minutes outer ring, chapter ring, flat hardlex crystal, deep & beveled case, applied indiceschrome-edged, 40mm north/south, 39mm across (41 w/crown), 14mm highI bought this bad boy pre-owned, for $80.00. How could I pass it up.[Angelis
I have followed the posts here for a while being largely unfamiliar with the Omega line but having some familiarity with the speedster. I have noticed that the 3570.50 of the current speedster line seems to be the one Omega that many if not most consider the current iconic model. there is also the same model (saphire sandwich) with the clear back case and brownish dial. what I have found interesting is that the special speedsters such as the anniversary models seem to have little following. they seem to be actually less desirable, at least from my observation. Can anyone comment on this. If I am accurate, there is a solid focus on being as close to the original moon watch as possible even if it is not one of the original models/movements.
As per myself, this one here I think I need better camera, it's quite hard to capture all details -- pic's do not make it justice at allHave a Happy and Prosperous New Year everybody
