Yesterday I went to the regional hmt showroom. (not too far away from my house) I had to buy 3 pilots (1 for me and 2 for bio) alongwith a watch as a gift for a friend of mine. Unfortunately they didn't have a single pilot but I got a decent for my friend, the hmt JanataA good find for 12$ isn't it?The same day I read bio's blog about using the swiss army knife as a watch tool. I opened the caseback of my hmt kohinoor and took this picAnd now for the best part, day before yesterday, me and my dad went to the Chandani Chowk area of Delhi. We were just window shopping when we saw these beauties in an optician's shop. He said he has many more at home, watch collection being his hobby and when we offered to buy the 50's omega, he said he can't part with even one of them. I'll be back at his shop one day to see the remainder of his collection. I tried to resist....really, I did....for about 10 minutes. Then I emailed the seller and got the deal under way. This has been on my radar for a while, but always way too pricey for me. The price was very fair, overnight delivery at no charge, trustworthy seller, only a year old and in mint condition (not a scratch). My Conquest is gone
After restoring it, cleaning the movement, polishing the crystal and case, fitting a nice leather strap with the Longines logo, my cousin (son of the original owner of the watch) asked me to give the watch back, because it's a heirloom from his dad He didn't care for the watch, until he saw it restored and shining again :mad:At least, he returned the expenses So, I didn't even had time to take pics of the finished watchjust this for the memories...

Navitimer 01 43mm / New leather strap
Hi guys I own a beautiful Navitimer 41mm with the calf leather band. It even enjoys as much, if not more, wrist time as my Rolex GMT2 Unfortunately the leather is wearing out and is starting to look a bit shabby. The leather strap with the folding clasp costs AUD$590 in Australia Any suggestions where to get a new original one at a good price? Or maybe a different brand but I'd prefer it to be as good or better quality as the original ones? Cheers from Down under! Ken
