And back in November, Patek Philippe released the limited edition "Tiffany dial" 5396G annual calendar to celebrate the fifth anniversary of their boutique in Tiffany & Co.'s Fifth Avenue flagship (John Mayer goes into more detail on this collaboration here). Yes, incredible as it sounded to me, the last day we were in Las Vegas last this week, our taxi driver looks at my watch and said, "Nice Daytona. I love that watch, I have one too." I asked him how he got it, what the story was. He said he was on an AD's list in Las Vegas for a while and finally got the call. He said he could have easily gotten a TT one for about the same money or less, but he had to have a SS one. I told him about this forum and wrote down the link for him on the back of my business card. Maybe we'll see him here one day. He said taxi drivers can make about $70k a year there after I mentioned that he's doing quite well for himself. He said he also gets to most of the shows in Vegas for free. Some taxi association gets him free tix and then he tells passengers how great the show was if he likes it. It seems hard to find an affordable solid bronze csed watch. So, will a bronze pvd cased watch rarnish the same way? Any suggestions? I'm considdring the brass Magrette, but bronze tones a bit nicer.

We have all seen the recent shortages on many of the popular Rolex range..and let’s be honest, there are only the Grey Market Sellers benefitting from this. As TRF is a highly reputable forum with Hundreds of thousand of active users, do you think it’s time for the TRF moderators to make a RULE & restrict sales on current models to MRSP??As an example, on many sites when selling tickets for concerts, sporting events, sales are only allowed at ‘Face Value’ to halt Ticket Touts.In reality, what is the difference between a ticket tout buying all the tickets for a concert on the day of release (and everyone seems to dislike a ticket tout) and a gray watch dealer buying all the stock from AD’s and marking it up for silly prices??Think hard about my comparison and then reply. Vintage models & discontinued models then of course it’s fair game, I’m talking solely about current inventory.
