As any watch nerd knows, TImex is one of those brands that reliably drops fun, unexpected and altogether affordable watches on a regular basis. The last time we brought them up was when we had a hands-on with the Expedition Military Field, which to this day offers perhaps the best style:price ratio out there. Stepping up quite a bit in price for Timex, though still in the very affordable range in terms of watches, is the Intelligent Quartz series. These watches are particularly cool as they offer interesting functionality, from altimeters to compasses to retrograde chronographs, and still have pretty decent looks. Black marks on wrist from crown???
I've got a 2005 Rolex Submariner with all the papers and sales reciept that is leaving a dark spot on my wrist from the gold crown. Also the case back is leaving a discolored area on my wrist. The hologram is not there. What could be the problem???

I'm putting up posters of my watch all over town
and look what happens after a few Hr's.I guess people like them and want to take them home.So what do I do to prevent this you ask?.......Paint it on the walls of course...

Swirlies and hairline scratches on polished WG case
I know the answer to this question before even asking it, but I want to know all of your thoughts on swirls and hairline scratches on a brand new PP in the AD case. Other than getting the watch factory sealed it seems as though anything that is displayed at an AD will have that plastic or tape wrap over the case. But once a pair of human hands handles a highly polished PP case it seems as though it gets the micro scratches. Would this bother anyone in the slightest when purchasing a new watch? Obviously demanding a new factory sealed references isn't always an option. Is this just how it goes when handling these highly polished pieces? Besides I would guess I would get the same scratches on it during the first few days of ownership.

Hi folks,I'm contemplating purchasing this 114270 Z Series Explorer and was hoping to get your opinion on a couple things.1. Based on the attached pictures, does everything check out? These are the best pictures I've been able to get from the seller thus far. To my eyes, the watch looks original, in honest condition, and not over polished.2. This seller does not have forum references, and has provided me with a few email addresses as references. These references have come out positive, but I'm still a bit wary and am hesitant to wire the funds. Would it be safe to use Paypal (goods & services) here? Anyone have experience recalling funds using this Paypal option if the deal goes south?Thanks so much for your input!
