I was reading a thread in another section and this occurred to me after the poster asked for help ID-ing the watch, then suggested they would take it to a dealer to get them to open it up.This is not a shot at them in any way. I don't know what their intent is, but the thought got me noodling...Are you willing to pop the back off your own watches?Sure, those who are "watch mechanics" (yep, I'm at a loss for the correct temrinology here"watchmakers", maybe?? *embarrased*) easily fall into this category. Like a mechanic doing a tune up on his own car - they know their way around under the hood.For the average humanoid, though, the inner working of a watch are, ah, to put it mildly, BAFFLING.Yet, for a subset of those average humanoids there exists a desire to see a watch movement in the fresh air - no crystal, full view, etc.This may stem from curiosity, or necessity. Triple 6 or Kermit?
I used to have a 16610LV but I let it go.
