Seiko SUT088 wrist watches news:
Last week I visited my AD and this is the result. :Dcopyright FP (ralligerflo)
would should I look to pay for a seamaster 2254.5 with all boxes, paper work, and serviced a few years ago? i guess its been discontinued so will it just keep going up in price? Can't seem to find it on sale new on the net so I'm assuming pre-owned would be the way to go. Saw two on ebay and wanted to know what you guys thought would be a fair price on a good condition watch with all the paper work including original sales receipt...thanks.
Ok end of the month coming up and finances looking decent, goint to order my first hammie on wednesday. Decided on the Code breaker.Just kidding Going for the Navy Gmt on the stitched rubber strap, will post picks.Quick question though, saw a deployment clasp that folds the strap on the inside, on someones old post and cant for the life of me find it again. Is there a specific name for that clasp?Where can i get one? Thanks.
The subject says it all! I'm very interested in the Titan II model that Hamilton brought out in the early 60s. Was this an Arbib designed watch? It looks as though it belonged with the rest of them in the late 50s. Very odd that they decided to make it look absolutely NOTHING like the Titan I. What hands came on this watch? Did they stay the same or did they change? What price should I expect to pay for one in very good, running condition? Any flaws I should be wary of (the lugs look weak, ala Altair)...Cheers!
I am starting this thread as a 'stick' with the intent to post ideas onn 'how' you can find that allusive bargain.Trust me there are many great watches (both vintage and 60s) that can be purchased at a great value. The thread is fully open for others to add ideas/suggeststions/tricks they have found.Good LuckTip number 1 below:
