Seiko SSA188 wrist watches news:
The watch uses the calibre 96SH LUC and the mechanism provides the energy for the hammer to knock every hour. The 18 K white gold watch is evidence date, hour and minute and indicates the small seconds. You can check on the incredible movement within this watch here.
Hi everyone! I wanted to first thank all of you for posting a general amount of good advice and sharing all the watch-geek knowledege so freely in these boards. I've browsed through here for a quite a while now, and decided it was time to join and speak up.I'm not a beginner to watch collecting, as my collection is into the double digits, but it's not necessarily anything that impressive at this point. I have a Tissot PRC 200, Victorinox Summit XLT 241340, a Citizen Eco-Drive AT0100-51A, a G Shock G2900, and a handful of Kenneth Cole & Fossil quartz pieces. The only automatics I have are a Stuhrling and a Kenneth Cole, both of which I love the appearance of, but have decided it's time to get something a little higher up the scale. I'm decidedly leaning towards either a Hamilton Khaki or an Omega Speedmaster, but I won't ask you to help me pick between the two. Rather, I'm hoping for some general advice about buying a pre-owned Omega (in hopes of narrowing the price gap between
I have a 1958 IWC ref. 500 Cal. 853, 10 1/2 lig. men's wristwatch. Per the IWC extract it was sold on February 29, 1960 by/to Henri-Stern. I thought that beginning in 1958 Henri-Stern took over as President of Patek Philippe? Was he also selling IWC watches in New York at the same time he was operating as President for Patek Philippe? This seems a little bit curious, but might just be a lack of knowledge on my part on the issue. If any one can shed some light on this, what is a mystery for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
i am wandering what will happan in 2010 with the change in leadership. will the prices go up? will some watches be dicontinued? is the price of gold going to make any difference in production and prices. Is the economy mking any difference. these are my questions let me know your possible answers. thanks george
Hi Everyone. Just wanted to see how many 44mm AP owners have hornback straps fitted to their watches? I've got the 44 SS on a rubber atm.. but I'm definitely looking to switch it up to some sort of leather. I've checked with the boutique here in Singapore.. they told me they've stopped production for hornbacks for 44s. And if they had any left in stock it would be over $1,000 Singapore dollars! That is just madness.Anyone has comments over the worth of the hornbacks for 44? Or any 3rd party leather makers who make great aftermarket hornbacks? I'm open to other leather... but I'm not sure which would look best. Or better yet... anyone with a nice 44mm Hornback they'd like to sell? Here's a pic for the day.
