Hey AllI'm new to LonginesI'm curious about this watch: I have been told its a redial. Also wondering if its a mix match face as the main part is black and seconds dial is white or silver.I heaven't seen any Longines that have contrasting faces like this.2012-11-09 14.51.35.jpg2012-11-09 14.54.41.jpg2012-11-09 14.55.23.jpg2012-11-09 19.51.24.jpg
Hey guys,Not sure if you noticed, but at the very top of the Breitling forum is an "Information & Resource" sub-forum (directly above the "New Post" button. This sub-page will be for Breitling facts, tutorials, links, etc. that we'll want for referencing to Breitlings. If you have any reference type info (ex. I'll be pposting the US '08 Price List there), just post it. And do visit often, it's a great source of info. I see Ron's posted some great info there already, so do take a look often. And thanks for the post there Ron!
only had this 2 days and it's growing on me all the time. i only wanted the bracelet but it's so minty that i might have to keep it (in one piece). is anyone familiar with this model? ref: 6602-8040, i think it's probably early 1970s but being no expert i can't be sure, perhaps someone could enlighten me. After a few weeks of non-wear, I ran into a scare and would appreciate some insights from the movement gurus re: a 15202 I-series with the 2121 movement. My questions are:Is it possible to have an issue with this movement where it can be wound through the self-winding mechanism but NOT manually? If not, what may be the cause(s) of the manual winding mechanism to not work in isolation (i.e. rest of the watch works just fine)? Background if you have the time:Quote:
well,I want to thank everyone for their input on this.. I pulled the trigger on the AP Legacy. It was between this and the RG ROO RC that I also like, but in person, the legacy steals the show hands down IMO.pics just dont do this watch any good. its big, its bold, its ceramic which is just as scratch resistant as a saphire crystal.. the strap is made from kevlar, it has rosegold pushers and other parts, to be honest, I think it has the best of everything. so I went with the legacy. They only made 1500 so in the long run, I could always get a 44 RG ROO but not a Legacy. It is a monster of a watch and it has the DLC/PVD look, but i dont ever have to worry about scratches which is the best part. I was told this is the very first watch Audemars has ever done with the entire case ceramic. The ONLY thing that turns be off about the RG 44mm Roo is that it has stick markers instead of arabic numbers. I prefer the numbers. That's why I kept the choice between the refereshed RG ROO RC and The L
