Harry Winston Midnight GMT Tourbillon Only Watch 2011
You can't buy it. Well technically you can, but you need to fly to Monaco in September and bid really high. This is Harry Winston's entry into the Only Watch 2011 charity auction that I keep profiling when new entries are released. Harry Winston's offering is this Midnight GMT Tourbillon (ref. 450/MATTZ45PL.A). The reason I am giving it extra attention is due to the way I feel it encapsulates much of what the modern Harry Winston watch brand is trying to be - and there will be just one piece.The movement inside of the watch is not new. It comes from an existing GMT Tourbillon watch in the Ocean, not Midnight collection. It may have been used in other HW pieces before. Though I do like its execution on this watch better. The automatic movement has a large power reserve of 110 hours and features a dial exposed tourbillon, off-centered time display, and a word-time function. The second timezone is first selected with the reference city being show in a small window at about 11 o'clock, and

Spring bar question
I was being a dope the other day, horsing around with a buddy and I bent one of my spring bars. Its on a Nato so I guess it didn't have the support from the oyster bracelet. Anyway, will Rolex sell me a new set of spring bars or can I just got to my local Rolex AD?

My new Hamilton Electric band
Love to get original bands for Hamilton Electrics when I can find them.Just picked up this NOS band for my Nautilus 602 from Scott at Timesofplenty. I love it! The lug width of the band was a tad too wide. So I asked Scott how to "adjust" it. He said to use a nail file and gently file till it fit. He recommended doing it when I was "relax". So I grabbed my wife's emory board and filed away till it fit.I'm very happy with the results. I know Richard Arbib designed bands to compliment dials on some Hamilton electrics. Does anyone know if this is one of his design?Mark
