Baume & Mercier Clifton Chronograph Watches For 2014
When a brand such as Baume & Mercier says they're digging into their archives for new watches, you can't be quite sure what you might see. As one of the seven oldest watch brands, they've got quite an assortment of inspiration to draw from. This latest batch of vintage-inspired pieces will expand the Clifton collection that we saw introduced earlier this year.Drawing from what's labeled as the "golden era" of the 1950s, these new automatic Clifton chronographs will be formally introduced at SIHH in January. Intrinsically, the three are mechanically the same - 43mm stainless steel case, ETA 7750 movement (decorated and visible through the case back), sapphire crystals, and a 50m WR rating, to mention some of the highlights. Hi,I purchased an "omega" vintage watch from the "50's"It's in a curvex case, with a small rectangular shaped caliber.The dial has hour/minute hands /w a sub second hand as well.The case markings are:Omega Watch Co.WadsworthT 7864993892 1The Caliber is marked:Omega Watch Co.11164712I can't find a "model #" marking on the actual caliber (unless it's underneath a bridge)

Well not really, but let's just consider that you have to bug out fast, because there is an outbreak of something or a natural disaster and you are forced to take ONLY ONE watch, and only one, you must leave your entire collection behind, what watch watch do you pick? Omega cal 861 with parts missing?
Got this cal 861 for a speedy buildCan anyone tell from the pictures what main parts are missing from it?was hoping to see if I order them from Cousins rather than source another movement

Any truth to this?
My local AD sales guy claims that Patek makes about 30,000-40,000 watches a year and only 5% are stainless steel watches. On top of that, around 90% of those SS watches are the women's model Twenty 4. I had a hard time believing that, but he was adamant that he was correct. I know 40,000 watches seems about right. But 5% SS would mean about 2,000 SS watches between all models. Even if half produced were the Twenty 4, that would leave only 1,000 for all Nautilus and Aquanaut models.Anyone ever heard this??
