It is recommended that all automatic/mechanical watches be serviced every 3 to 5 years..Do future maintenance costs effect your decision on what kind of movement you choose in your watch?I have, on occasion, gone 3 hand auto instead of auto chrono because of $300 to $500 maintenance costs in 3 to 5 years on an auto chrono. I have 7 Valjoux 7750's and am considering selling some before maintenance is necessary.How do you feel? Do you plan to maintain them regularly or only address problems as they arise?

I'm trying to decide between a 5711 vs the AP RO 15202 39mm extra thin as my next watch. Both with the blue dial. Not sure I will be able to swing both, at least not for the foreseeable future. Over the weekend I've seen two deep blue deepseas that were sold a few months apart from AD's, however there are quite material font differences. I searched and found references to early mk1 black dial font variances, but what about deep blue, is this a known change?
