- I thought this watch and the 3 band would be for fun. But the band holes fray. Only wore 2x. Going back.

Tudor Tudor 17834 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone. I am new to the Rolex forum - to be honest I had previously found them quite uncomfortable to wear. Today however I found one that I really like - the green glass Milgauss. What do you guys think of this particular model. I have heard so much about the rarity of this model etc etc but was wondering if it was all just hype. I would not be purchasing the watch for investment purposes but after realising how much money I have lost on the Franck Muller Casablanca I purchased a few years ago, I do not want to make the same mistake again if I do not enjoy the watch. I am in no way wanting advice re. investment values, just wondering if you experts think that this would be a good choice for my first Rolex. Many thanks in advance.
finally i have some pictures of my new watch, you must excuse my photography skills im not any good at all! i havn't been able to take it off since i bought it
Recently I've seen a few pictures of WTF members' storage cases, safes, etc., and it got me to wondering about how everyone stores their watches. Until recently, my storage process involved watch boxes scattered on top of my dresser, like this:A few days ago I bought a couple of winder/cases to wind my automatic watches and store my quartz ones. I'm curious how others store their watches. Whether you have 2 or 50, whether they are inexpensive or valuable, where do you keep them?
Being that I have limited knowledge of movements, I was wondering what the experts on these forums thought would be the best automatic movement to consider when looking for a watch falling in these catagories 1- Price range $600.00-$1200.00 (The lower price the better)lol!2- Limited supply or collectabilty (If thats a word)3 Dependability4 Resale value5 Future expectations of reliabilityAny help would be greatly appreciated. Also any particular brand of watch you think falls into that movements range. Hopefully this not a stupid question. I'm thinking about moving up a notch in my collection, so I'm just trying to educate myself before I make any hasty decisions Thanks again in advance. P.S. I've been looking at the Valjoux,s.
Was recently offered a trade for my 114060 mint from Dec 2016, for a year 2000 16710 faded Pepsi with an extra Coke insert. The watch is almost a full set, missing just the warranty card (long past warranty by now), but does have service papers from Nov 2017. Owner says the watch is unpolished, although I have not yet seen it in person. I've never quite been a fan of the Pepsi GMT, but would like to gather the collective opinion on TRF if this is a sane trade? I have two 114060s (one is still BNIB), so this opportunity seemed tempting. Or are there better trades out there?Thank you TRF family.
