Tudor 23010-62580 wrist watches news:
This vintage Reverso is one with a stronger than usual connection to history, and it's a memento of a crisis. Engraved on the back with a dedication to a king, it would never be worn by its intended recipient. It now reposes in the Jaeger-LeCoultre museum collection, a silent testimony to a moment when a king had to choose between a woman, and his kingdom.Edward VIII always knew his relationship with Wallis Simpson, an American divorcée, would make him an unpopular King. But the death of his father, King George V, precipitated his ascension to the throne on January 20, 1936. Tormented between his responsibilities as the new Head of the Church of England and his unholy relationship with Simpson, Edward would spend his first months on the throne seeking the counsel of those around him, including the Prime Minister. Could Simpson be his Queen? 1 OF 4 Amidst all the uncertainty and anxiety attending his ascension to the throne, the presence of almost any watch dwin
Hello All,I've noticed something on my two latest aquisitions: 1 On both my new 116613 blue dialed TT sub and my new SS GMT MasterIIc, the hour hand is not perfectly aligned at the dead center of the hour markr when it is, say.......9:00, 6:00, 12:00 etc, they (both watches) are minutely off to the right( if you are seeing 6:00) I called Rolex USA and they said that it was normal to have a little tolerance left or right!! Is this normal, should it be fixed or NOT??? Other than that both watches run at incredible -1 sec a day no matter temp, activity whatsoever!!Ed
Hello!Really enjoying my time here so far.So my Fossil has crapped out on me. It's become, wella fossil. I've had the watch since high school so I sort of figure it was time for the watch to go anyway. Here is the problem. I want a Rolex. Seriously. But I don't have the money for a Rolex.Second problem. I need a watch. Not want. Need. As in, I hate using the computer to tell time. I could spring for something like an Omega (fine watch btw) but that's not what I want. I know this. I know I would probably end up selling the very nice Omega a few years from now, and buying the very nice Omega only sets me a few years back from buying my Rolex.Option 2: Buy another "cheap" watch, say under $500 or so. That seems to be a level where you get some quality, but it doesn't break the budget either. If I take door number 2, I have no idea what watch to get. My only experience is with Fossil, and I'm done buying Fossils. Have any suggestions? Thanks!Ryan
Hi all,Been thinking about a Sub yellow gold and steel for a while. Although i already had this rolex:so tried on the subwhich i liked alotbut then my eye went to another watch i have been looking into for a while.i tried it on and i fell for it!only has to be set once every 4 years and a moonphase:(on sites)what you all think?
I was initially trying to aquire a 5712for the past year and now w the price increase I¡¯m not sure the piece is really worth it to me at that valuation so I decided the step up my game. I¡¯m not looking to flip the watch and will ultimately give it to my son. I like aspects of both watches but leaning toward the more classic 5327. From a collectors point of view, which do you think will have better valuation 30yrs down the road should he need to sell. I¡¯m not looking for investment or profit just something he can sell if he needs to in the future that will yield him the highest return. I know we don¡¯t have crystal balls and that¡¯s why I think a collectors opinion is best because they will base it on what¡¯s important in the current situation and what people value as important.
