Large Dials: Two Differing Approaches
I thought I’d present a light layman’s viewpoint of two differing approaches to a large dial presentation. These two watches were chosen because they share the similarities of a comparable retail price, white dials, and complications (power reserve indicator and small date). The first is the Mido Baroncelli Power Reserve. This watch has been in my rotation for a couple of years now and is currently available from multiple sources.The second subject is the Bulova Classic Power Reserve that I’ve recently acquired. It is currently out of production, but lightly worn examples can be acquired on the ‘Bay and elsewhere on occasion.
