This morning my wife picked my LE Clubman up from the dresser and announced she was wearing it to work.
I thought I’d present a light layman’s viewpoint of two differing approaches to a large dial presentation. These two watches were chosen because they share the similarities of a comparable retail price, white dials, and complications (power reserve indicator and small date). The first is the Mido Baroncelli Power Reserve. This watch has been in my rotation for a couple of years now and is currently available from multiple sources.The second subject is the Bulova Classic Power Reserve that I’ve recently acquired. It is currently out of production, but lightly worn examples can be acquired on the ‘Bay and elsewhere on occasion. Both seem similar in outward appearance, but let’s dig a little deeper:Dimensions-the Mido case width is 42mm and the dial measures about 38mm in width. The case measures 10mm in height and the watch (with aftermarket bracelet) weighs 5.5 ozs. The Bulova case is 44mm wide and has a height of 14.3mm. The dial measures 35.6mm in wi

Does a modified 2007 Rolex Sub with an original Yachtmaster 'red' second hand affect the selling price? Would you buy a Rolex Sub with this type of modification or walk away? Let's hear from the guru's.I think it looks real nice.
