U-Boat 5571 wrist watches news:
Hi Rob, Jack Forster here (Managing Editor) and thanks for volunteering to be the first! It’s a great idea, and one we’ve certainly talked about here a lot. We’re definitely going to start keeping an eye out for great questions from our readers. Of course, we can’t answer every query but we want our readers to know we really appreciate their input and look forward to being able to get into some interesting discussions with you guys and gals. Bear in mind we’ll always try to present your email verbatim but we may edit (lightly) for clarity, punctuation, and so on. If everyone can please also bear in mind that what you’ll read is always the take of a particular editor (myself in this case) and therefore really a personal rather than collective HODINKEE opinion, that’d be great as well. 2 OF 4 Breitling Transocean 1915 So here’s the score: we, and I, like the Transocean family in general quite a bit, and we’ve writte
Look at what I got in the mail today! The ultimate tool watch!Sorry for the cell phone photo! I really have to say though that this is just a lovely watch. I have quite a few tool watches in my collection and I believe this will be top of the heap for giving me the smile factor every time I put it on. Honestly pictures just do not do justice to this model. You have to see it and hold it. It is the Gen 1 model with the polished stainless steel bezel and stainless pushers rather then all titaniaum and the combination of the two make it much more stunning then the all titanium watches I own or IMHO the Gen 2 model.I would love to see some photos of other X-33's here in the forum. It doesn't seem to be a much talked about or photographed model here in the forum.
Hamilton offers two style bezels, external for the Khaki King Scuba and Khaki Action and internal for some of the Khaki Navy models.Which do you prefer and why?I have never owned a watch with an internal bezel but I like the look. The external is the style preferred by the majority of watch companies and it is tried-and-true.
The ones in the middle?I don't have much info on them (actually, none at all). From what I can see they look to be 60's-ish? Maybe the gold one is an electric? I'm just wondering if anyone knew what they were?
Hi All, Thinking hard about the 5990...chrono and GMT are probably the complications I like the most and a grey dial adds some variety to what I currently have in the stable. Out of curiosity, what kind of discount have you been getting at AD for this? I know it varies by country/city - if it makes a difference the cities I spend the most time in are full of many deep pocketed individuals (New York, Singapore, London) who buy a lot...Anyone love/hate the 5990?
