- As always Timex quality is well worth the few extra bucks over the no-name watches out there. The leather band is top quality too and the Indiglo feature is great!

I'm being lazy. Rather than doing research, I'll attempt to tap into the knowledge base of Watch Talk. What can you tell me about Edox? Because it's kind of mandatory in these situations, here's a photo of the one I recently picked up. I was attracted to this one for several reasons - the finish on the case, the bracelet, the carbon fiber, the fact that the carbon fiber isn't symmetrical, and the location of the day display.001.jpg
I am looking for a Fossil watch that was available around 6 years ago. Unfortunately I don't know the exact model and I don't have a picture. It had a large, brown leather strap like the one below:It's clockface was a bit unusual. It was round and stainless steel but the mechanism was like in this one:Does anyone know the exact model or where to buy it? Or at least where should I look for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Has anyone here had any experience with Rufus Gerard watches? They have a banner on a different watch forum, but now they have a full page ad in the Feb 2008 WatchTime.Seems like a silly name, and the website is kinda cheesy. This Rufuslin company says that it is the sole distributor of Rufus Gerard, Botta (allegedly from Germany) and Angular Momentum (allegedly Swiss).I put this out not because I am interested in such watches (I do not have the intention of ever owning such a watch), but just that it seems kinda scammy. This Rufus claims to have a Japanese movement and they want to sell it for $8,800.00 USD. They also say:"Rufus Gerard. A distinguished Canadian name in the Swiss-dominated global watch industry." *ahem*I am Canadian. I am proud of that. But.....
Well after receiving the strap last week, and the burgeon tool, I managed to change the rubber strap on my Tudor Pelogas, as that is what i brought it with, too the bracelet, was a little tricky, but then found that the bracelet needed sizing. So a visit to my Ad was in order, Now as it was a little tricky for me, I decided to take the BLNR and strap with me to the dealer to see if they would change it for me.After doing the tudor, I asked if they would mind doing the BLNR for me, No of course not, will be a couple of minutes.Came out a happy chappy, feels good, now do I get one for the SubLVc?? with green stripe..HHHmmmmmDid try on the BB Blue while I was there....nice.
