Seiko "Shinji Hattori Special Model" Limited Edition Watch For Japan
Seiko once again teases the world with another Japan-only, high-end watch that they released over the summer (June) in Japan as a very small limited edition. This is a pretty lovely model and is a rare glimpse into Seiko corporate culture as well as humor. It is also very "Japanese" with elements that have double meanings and with the beach theme that is meant to honor the shores of Shonan, which is located in central Japan along the coast. WWW (Why Watch Winder)?
Obviously, having a winder is convenient. Above and beyond that, is there any reason to do have one?I have read here that watches run more accurately if they are fairly fully wound.I think I saw somewhere that there can be a problem with lubrication pooling or some such thing with prolonged inactivity. (Is this true, and if so, how often does a watch need to run to keep this from happening?)On the other hand, presumably if the watch is always running, that's more wear on the mechanism.So on the whole, is a winder good for the watch, or just for its owner?

Hi Guys,I have a 1950/60s Girard-Perregaux wristwatch or at least that's what it says on the dial. The movement (automatic bumper) is signed Cortebert Watch Co. Inside the back lid it is signed Girard-Perregaux with the logo. I am trying to find out if these two watch makers ever collaberated in this way or has this watch been put together by some else.All ideas and thoughts would be appreciated.

The 3 left in contention are:1) Seamaster 300 (black bezel and dial-model #2254.50-discontinued)2) Seamaster 300 titanium (black dial-model #2231.50)3) 42mm Planet Ocean (Black dial and bezel-model #2201.50)This watch will be my daily wearer. Personally, i like all 3 of the models, but thought i would ask for opinions from those with more experience and knowledge as to your recommendations regarding the pros and cons of each of these. Additionally, what type (% wise) discount should i be looking for off list on these models, and, do any of you have any AD's that you would strongly recommend and will ship out of state?
