Sun Bathing Echo Drives
There is nothing like natural light to charge your Echo Drive. Just a couple hours in the sun will do more than a week under a lamp. Every couple months I give these a few hours in the sun. I have never had one stop or even give a low power indication. As my wife's echo sits in a watch box in the dark side of the bedroom sometimes for a month at at time the power reserve seems to be great. I love Echo Drive technology and the top one being a perpetual calendar other than making sure it gets some light now and then I don't have to touch it even in short months. Great for me, Mr Lazy Bones!

Review, Edouard Lauzi¨¨res, EldiamanteThe Eldiamnte is the second watch I have owned by Edouard Lauzi¨¨res, now commonly dubbed EL by fellow enthusiasts. The first being the limited addition WTF watch based on the Park Avenue model. My experience with that first watch along with the very pleasing aesthetics of the EL dial work caused me to buy this second watch. G-Shock G-1000H-1A review
Okay, it’s been a couple of weeks now, so it's time for a bit of a review of the G-Shock.This model is the G-1000H-1A, with an analogue-display, which I found unusual in the G-Shock range. There is another model (G-1000H-9A) which is ‘gold’ but looks more of a tan or camel colour to me (see pic).Well, first impressions:The watch is light for its size, but with the materials it’s made of I guess that’s not unusual. Fit & finish are very good, which is to be expected for a G-Shock, and the dial is extremely detailed, with the sub dials catching & reflecting the light wonderfully. The dial itself has interesting vertical contrasting lines which I have captured in some of the pics. This is an effect hard to describe but very nice to look at.A smallish date window sits midway between 4 and 5 o’clock.
