Audemars Piguet 26022BC.OO.D028CR.01 wrist watches news:
Hublot announced today that they have partnered with Ferrari to become (among other things) their official watch maker and official time keeper. This means that during their agreement only Hublot can produce Ferrari branded timepieces. Hublot will also be a branded partner during Ferrari events (and likely the Ferrari name will be displayed at many Hublot events). They refer to this as a "comprehensive agreement covering all the activities of Ferrari and Hublot..." I know, a bit vague, but I think we get the idea.Ferrari has had an interesting history with watches. For a long time there were a range of lower-priced quartz watches. Then they worked with high-end brand Girard-Perregaux for some nice watches. After that they entered into what most people generally agree was a failed relationship with Panerai. After that Cabestan produced some very interesting highly limited Ferrari timepieces. There might be even more history that I am not considering. Starting today it is all about Ferra
HiI am considering getting a Hamilton with a 694A movement and would like to know your opinion of the movement. I believe it is a ETA 2472 from the 70's but don't know much else about quality, etc. Other than giving my wife a Lady Hamilton on our wedding this would be my first. Thanks Tony
I didn't want to be indiferent to the Incomings So I got this, before I got my Seiko Monster, I'm still deciding between Seiko and Orient, but anyway, here it is...White Seiko Atlas, hope to receive it next week...Web picture (from another thread here :D)
I have a 5055, white gold, black face, deployment buckle that I want to sell. It definitely needs a polishing and the strap needs to be replaced. Would you recommend having it polished and changing the strap if sell it to a AD? Or am I wasting money making the watch look new again as a dealer realizes exactly what needs to be done to get the watches appearance back up to snuff. Also, if anyone could point me in the direction of any dealers that I could contact for a possibly sale. Thanks in advance.
Hi all... Newbie is finally in touch with a recommended dealer at reasonable pricesAs if narrowing down the options of all the different references wasn't enough - I've now got to decide on the intricacies within the individual references so I'm asking for help....Sandwich or painted??The 177 is g series paintedThe 176 is sandwich (not sure which year)I'm of the understanding both are discontinued as of 2014 to make way for the in-house movements and bigger cases to come...Is it true the base (176) is more sought after? Is the base look with sandwich more of the original panerai style? Is it true the painted g 177 is also special as then they went sandwich after this? Its a first Pam purchase... There is a ¡ê500 differential... Which way would you go??Thanks so much for taking the time
