Audemars Piguet 25721TI.OO.1000TI.04 wrist watches news:
Hi folks. I haven't started a thread here yet as I'm still addicted to "that other forum", but I love it here too. It's painful to me that I have to visit both forums to feed my watch addiction now, but it is what it is. Web politics stinks sometimes...On a happier note, I went to a "Meet and Drive" today through my car interest club and saw some neat cars. I wanted to take alot more watch and car pics but both my batteries died on me for my camera. Arghhh Time to get a better battery recharger. I'm leaving for Las Vegas with my wife later today, but wanted to post these before we left. We have a week there and are thrilled. I haven't been since 1983 and it was only for a day, she's never been. Hope to bring back some fun Daytona pics while there.Uh, I need my chrono to time this cars 12 cylinders to see if it's firing ok...A prancing horseyI must time it's speedMy chrono will be especially useful in timing the 0-60 on this 456 GTThe most ridiculous sticker of the day...You ne
so i STARTED OUT looking for a Seikoin my price range, trustable seller (even Amazon (themselves, not a 3rd party) sells SNKs and SNZs that aren't listed on Seiko's site, but i *suppose* that's ok), a design i want, and features i want is pretty challenging. i've widened the search to Citizen and maybe Pulsar (haven't seen many with features i'm looking for from Pulsar, tho). still trying to keep it in the under $125 range (i could fudge it a little. i'm looking at a Citizen BM8290-05E)THOSE OF YOU WITH CITIZEN watches how has your experience been with your watches? reliable? any of you have Citzens AND Seikos? how have the two compared reliability-wise and accuracy-wise (with quartzes, self winding, and the Eco-Drive)?edit: i've also noticed a complete lack of Seiko 5s in stores (as well as self-winding). does that mean most/all DO or DON'T have at least SOME shock protection? how about Citizens?
Because I added these two:1. Citizen Eco Drive Promaster Aqualand BJ2120-07E2. Citizen Eco Drive BU0003-02PBoth are very nice watches, and I simply love the look of the BU0003-02P, and both are Made in Japan
Okay, so I bought one of those cheapo multi-winders that you see on eBay for a dirt cheap price. It's nowhere near the quality of some winders I've seen; it's pretty cheaply made, but it also wasn't four figures.I figured it would be a unidirectional winder and, at first, it was. It spun the watches for about 90 seconds. But, it then changed direction.Cool, I thought. It went back and forth for a few minutes, and then it stopped. It's stopped right now. I didn't notice how long it ran before it stopped. When I first noticed that it had stopped, I figured my wonderful luck would dictate that I'd burned out one of the motors. So, I flipped the switch off, and flipped it back on.It started turning again. So, the jury's out. I'm not about to sit there and watch a winder that isn't moving, but I'll try to keep tabs on it. I think what I'll do is turn it on for an hour before I go to work in the morning, and then for an hour when I get home at night. Hopefully, I'll be able to determine A) if I
I have the opportunity to buy any of these at MSRP. I like them but already have a green watch (Rolex Hulk) and am debating how much I can really wear a green watch. (If they made a 47MM in 1950s case with no complication I'd jump on it...basically a green 372 /drool) Whats everyone's thoughts on these? Could I always sell it and get my money back? Is the value of these holding up? Since I have a short window to decide I want to know what my options are if I change my mind after purchasing.
