URWERK UR-202S "Full Metal Jacket" Watch With Bracelet
From the brand that brought you a black coated gold watch comes a black coated steel watch (and brushed steel) - and for some reason that seems odd for the brand. What I am more excited about however is the bracelet. This is the first Urwerk watch that I know of that comes with a metal bracelet - and I think it is really fitting. You can get me excited all day long with straps of fancy materials, but I really enjoy a nicely engineered bracelet (which is exactly what I expect from Urwerk).The 2011 UR-202S "Full Metal Jacket" is a variant of the UR-202, which itself is a variant of the UR-203. This collection is also named the "Hammerhead" due to the shape of the case. It is actually my favorite Urwerk watch style in their collection to date. After several years of faithful service on the WTF Admin Team, Terry "diver88" has elected to step down and return to active civilian membership here on WTF. Terry's been with WTF several years, and has helped in several of our forums, including of course the Omega Forum. His assistance and of course his friendship have been and continue to be greatly appreciated!An existing Admin Team member, Stephanie "diamondgirl" has agreed to pull double duty, and will be assisting Dennis here in the Omega Forum while continuing to moderate the Panerai Forum. Ever pull the trigger too quickly?
Does anyone ever act on impulse and buy without researching?I just did and hope I did okay. I bought a Hamilton Lee for $300 in 10k ygf (the name and price are clickable).Usually I look at Rene's book, then at Will's site, then poke around this forum, but when there is a Buy It Now staring you in the face, sometime you just need to buy first and ask questions later.On the Lee's, it seems that there are some dials that are hammered and some that are smooth. Are both correct?Also, it seems like this one has a few bite marks on the corners of the back, but the lugs looks decent.Any thoughts? Was my impulse buy a decent one. -Chris
