Baume & Mercier M0A08775 wrist watches news:
Hello All,Newbie here. I just bought my first Breitling and I'm hoping you guys can help me get more information on the watch. From what the seller described the watch to be (1960ca BREITLING CHRONO), I can't locate more technical information. I've searched around on the web quite a bit but to no avail. When I get the watch, I'm thinking of getting it fully restored and adding stainless steel bands to it but I'm not sure if the watch is worth that much work. Any information provided would be greatly appreciated. I love the watch either way but prefer to be more knowledgeable of it. See pics below:
I know this is stupid and I've voiced these frustrations before but as a "collector" I feel like I'm spinning my wheels, maybe, since I don't know why I keep buying watches and I can't even decide day to day which one I want to wear.My biggest dilemma is that I keep looking...wanting more, yet so many sit neglected. OK so here's a round-up...with pics...we all love pics right? These are one's I should spend the scoots on to have refurbished because they have great sentimental value. Problem is that I don't know where to get them done, no watch makers around I know of in my area.PLUS!!! I have 3 more pocket watches I want done! one more immaculate Elgin that's missing a crown (I'll get pics soon) and two Walthams, one of which was my great grandfather who came here from the "old country".Next I have this watch I really liked that quit ...stupid ETA quartz! Then I have some that are of sentimental value that I NEVER wear...plus the Seikos ain't worth selling. The there are some I don't eve

With the recent acquisition of AK797's lovely 26320OR, I thought I would share my love and it's sexy twin brother.Mine of course is the one without stickers, I ripped those things off so quick, LOL!
As a child, I came across this beautiful watch at the local swap meet - a fake Patek Philippe. My mom saw how enthralled I was and asked if I wanted it for my birthday. I think it was around $150 after some wheelin, which was a lot of money back then for a working class family. I didn’t know about watches then but knew the real deal would be even sweeter, a goal to reach for. So I distinctly recall saying, all serious and with water in my eyes, “no thanks mom, I’m gonna be so stinkin rich and buy the real thing”. She smiled and said I can do it. I was maybe 12 at the time.... fast forward, I’m not quite there yet but the aspiration of owning a Patek never left my mind. I recently turned 27 and decided to fulfill a childhood dream. Yeah, today I’m grinning like a mad man.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
