Breguet Breguet 52152 wrist watches news:
Last week, Glash¨ątte Original announced a bold expansion of their Sixties line up with the new Sixties Iconic. Set apart by a selection of five 1960s-inspired dial colors, the Glash¨ątte Original Sixties Iconic line harnesses a mix of old-school tools and modern techniques to offer an interesting perspective on the continued trendiness of vintage design aesthetics. Taking a successful and classically proportioned design like that of the Sixties and integrating bright colors and uncommon textures takes the line in an different direction, promoting a more casual and laid back sensibility.Aside from the dials, the Glash¨ątte Original Sixties Iconic is a direct extension of the steel Sixties models, retaining the 39mm case sizing and three-hand functionality provided by the calibre 39-52 in-house automatic movement. Thickness, including sapphire crystals front and back, is 9.4mm and the Glash¨ątte Original Sixties Iconic comes on a Louisiana Alligator leather strap in a variety of colors depe
Just received my RR218 last week. Accutron is on my grail list and I LOVE railroad dials!
AP ROO Rubberclad. It's biggish, it's very well made, I like the rubber strap, bezel and pushers. Nice chronograph too, sick lume:IWC Portuguese. My favorite color combo. Well balanced dial, beautiful movement, 7 day power reserve. The blued hands are pretty nice too:Breguet Marine II. Again, my favorite color combo that it comes in. Love the engine turned guilloche dial and engine turned rotor. Breguet hands are nice, applied Romans and the big date:
So I'd been tossing around the idea of getting a leather band for the winter. Is it me or does anyone else notice a huge change in Breitling leather straps as of a few years ago? They used to be supple, perfectly stitched and the breitling markings were more deeply imprinted on the inside of the straps. Now, I find the new straps feel cheap and harsh. Well long story short, I found an NOS older black 22/18 strap and jumped on it. Quite pleased with the results. I also have to give a shout out to the service tech at NYC's Breitling boutique. A very nice gentleman who showed me some really amazing rare vintage Breitlings that he had in the service room. I'll post some photos below.
I was just checking Ebay for Vintage Seamaster 300s as I often do, and came across a few Watchco listings for their newly built Vintage Seamaster 300. They had been asking a buy it now of $3700 just a few weeks ago. Today the buy it now is $4400.I knew the day would come that the prices on these would go through the roof...that time is now. As some of you are aware I built three of these in the last few months and due to price increases I have stopped doing builds of my own. Glad I got in on them while they were still reasonable. One of my builds is still my daily wearer and favorite watch I have ever owned. If anyone is considering one, or has been, you better get one now before they are $5000.
