Anyone know anything about Tiffany branded Hamiltons?
I recently came across a Tiffany branded watch in a shop. The shop owner initially said he thought it was a swiss movement but it looked classic Hamilton to me. He opened it and sure enough it had a 982. I don't have a picture of it but if you look up a Rutledge it looked a lot like that. It's in very simple rectangular shaped 14K case - like a Rutledge. It had what looked to be it's original strap and box. The back was unengraved - nothing of any sort - not even Wadsworth. I didn't look inside the back though.I was a little surprised that it wasn't a Medallion movement and since I don't recall ever seeing anything Tiffany-related in the catalogs I thought I'd ask my WTF colleagues what they thought.Any idea what cases Tiffany watches used? Are there things to look for to make sure it's authentic and not just a Tiffany label on the dial? Would they use a 982 movement or only a 982M? Are they more / less collectable than it's Hamilton-branded peer? What do you think would be a

Tomorrow is a special day. Tens of thousands of Bible experts say the world comes to an end Saturday. Now, I wouldn't mind at all if all of them disappeared up in the clouds, but why does the world have to go up in flames too? I guess we are too arrogant and don't suffer enough, so I am going to make a last ditch personal effort to suffer a little more. If I can convince others to suffer more with me, maybe we can get another year out of this deal - till 2012 like we were promised.I suggest others try to suffer a little more tomorrow to see if we can stop this thing. There has to be more suffering. So, I recommend you wear a watch you haven't worn for a while, maybe one you'd like to flip. Something that gives you a little pain.I'm going quartz. I say we go quartz and hide our treasures so we don't appear so arrogant. Will you wear quartz tomorrow?

Hi folks,Posted about a week or so ago about the Aquanaut seducing me into buying her while I was out shopping for my Rolex GMT BLNR. Well, I've nearly got her - it has been one of the longest weeks of my life. I bought the watch last week but can only collect it when I leave the country since I bought it duty free. I'm leaving tomorrow! But I visited it yesterday to get it sized and get a pic (obviously). Erred slightly on the large side when it came to sizing. I'm keen to wear it a bit and see how it feels and then finetune the last segment or two myself. Funny story: I strap it on to try and and look at the face - only to see the watch running and the date 'stuck' halfway in the date window! My mind went to all the sticky date window threads! I looked a bit harder and noticed the time was at 12:01 - so just changing over. Happily by 12:03 the change was done and the date was as it should be. Paranoid much! I am spending too much time here. LOLMore pics to follow once I officially ha

So, my mom passed away October 2016. I¡¯ve been wanting to do something to honor her that I could pass on to one of my sons (I had previously inherited a 1680 from my dad who passed in 2005). After much research and internal debating, I¡¯ve decided to go with an Explorer 214270 (current release). This is not a piece to add to my collection.My reasoning for this specific watch is that I believe this piece embodies many of the characteristics of my mom. 1. Simplicity, not complicated 2. Resilience (never gave up) 3. Dependability and reliability 4. She never changed or wavered over the years, except for her appearance (getting older) 5. Elegant and beautiful, even in blue jeans.
