I know it was wrong, but what to do?
Recently I was commision to watch over my parents home and affairs while they are gone and I betrayed that trust...I don't believe in excuses but here's mine anyways...A few years ago my grandfather passed away at 98 and he had several watches, pocket and wrist that everyone said I should have. I mentioned it several times, and my folks said sure "they are yours, but we don't know where they are right now"...my father also said he has an old divers watch for me that he wore in the Navy during the Vietnam War...so to make a long story short I went snooping the other day and found a treasure trove of old pocket watches, wrist watches and general watch stuff...that included 2 Waltham, 2 Elgin, and 2 or 3 Hamiltons, and a Bulova Space View in perfect condition all languishing in various shoe boxes in storage.So what's should I do?I feel bad for snooping through storage, but it's been bugging me for years since I'm the only one who wanted them and at the time didn't push the subject. Question on military/aviator watches
Dear All,the military/aviator style (large Arabic numerals on a black dial) is one of my favorite after the diving style but I was wondering...were these watches at any point part of the standard equipment in the army? I know Panerai divers were but their style is not exactly the one I am thinking of. What are, if any at all, the "original" military watches used in any army? Which of them are still available to the general public?By the way, I finally solved my Rado/Oris/Sinn/Seiko multilemma, I ordered...one of them, I shall post pictures at soon as I get it, thank you again to all of you for the advices.GLF

X33 expert needed
I recently sold a 2005 X33 box, papers, in almost LNIB condition. The buyer contacted me soon afterwards saying the AR on the outside of the crystal had been removed and he wanted a refund. My research seems to point to late model X33s having an upgrade to single AR due to durability issues, can anyone confirm?Discussions over this with the buyer have been very friendly and I will give him a refund if he is not happy, I am keen to find out so that when I re-advertise the watch I can describe it accurately. Proud to share some better shots of my new baby! The 3970 is a classic Patek piece that was produced from 1986 to 2004, and with its case size of 36mm I felt like it was perfect for my 6.25 wrist.
