After writing a few articles about this watch I wanted to step back and think about it a bit. To be "the world's most complicated watch," even for a short period of time is quite a feat. This is measured in terms of "complications" which tend to have generally accepted definitions and can be enumerated to watch industry professionals and enthusiasts. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie has 26 complications. If you could count its functions, the number does not reach 26 of course. In fact, let's count the number of functions that it has in a nutshell. It shows the time (hour, minute, and seconds) - three functions. It has a perpetual calendar function that shows the day, date, month, and leap year - another four functions. The watch has a complex sonnerie (chiming) mechanism that has a three different chimes plus a minute repeater - another four functions. Then you have two power reserve indicators - two more functions.? If you count those up, you get 16 complications.

Temption and Fortis are two admirable watch makers who share nary a sneer or historic competition.? Interestingly, they now have what I consider to be closely matched competing watches with the new Temption Cameo and the Fortis Square. Through what I believe might be no fault of either company, a battle between these watches now ensues for a leader of this micro niche (or maybe I am just egging on a fight). Each primarily arrives with dark brown leather straps, and have dark against white colored faces. Each has a shaped rear on the watch case to better fit to your wrist. vintage Omega Seamaster cal. 351 questions
I am new to this forum and Omega Vintage watch. i have recently acquired a 1952 omega, bumper matic cal. 351 vintage. But i am not very sure if it is genuine. Or entirely genuine. I suspect some of its parts are genuine but some are not. My questions are:1) which parts are not and is it worth it to change it back to an original?2) is it advisable to use the watch as a daily watch?3) how often should i service it?Thank you all for helping me out. My favourite daily wearer
I have always admired Panerai, been on the panerai threads many times before asking advice on which model I should get. I acquired this 112 around 2 months ago and it has basically been on my wrist constantly for everything. My rolex have had zero wrist time recently. They are a surprisingly comfortable daily wearer. Maybe it's still the honeymoon period so I am giving it another 4 months before I start looking for a partner for the 112, but I can't see a rolex coming anytime soon, I can only see panerai on the horizon

Question about winding behavior
Hi all,Just a quick question. When I pick up my watch after a weekend, it often has to be would. Previously, anytime I began winding it would force the second hand to start moving. However, even after winding 20-25 times, it requires a tap on the case to get it to start running. I've also noticed on occasion that the crown sticks a bit rather than immediately popping out when I unscrew it.Is this all normal behavior for a newish Rolex? (Random serial Mk1 214270)Thanks!
