Breitling A1332016/G698-ocean-classic-steel wrist watches news:
By Adi SoonThe recent SalonQP in London was certainly an eye-opening experience for me being a first time watch exhibition attendee. I had high expectations of going to this event and in many ways I wasn't disappointed.Unlike Baselworld where new products are announced and launched, the SalonQP in London functions more as an opportunity for the brands to interface with their potential customers in a plush, cosy environment. Surrounded by resplendent grounds and set in an area in a high-end part of London, the Saatchi gallery played host over three days to a crowd of connoisseur watch lovers. Fittingly chosen as a location as well, due to the fact that many of the pieces on display did certainly rise to the level of art. What more a compliment to be paid to the watches than being in an art gallery? On a personal level, it was an extremely good opportunity for me to set eyes upon and sometimes handle the watches that I had heard about but not seen in person. Just got an addition to the Elgin family. A nice running 555 in a round case. Don't know if it has a model name. I think of it as a poor man's Golden Knight. Probably the closest I'll get to one.Joel
...Hi all,Anyone have actual wristshots ot the new 41mm AP RO (Ref 15400) ???Thanks!
Dear all, I purchased my 5712 brand new in May last year, I still like it but I find the 5960P grey (cheaper) or blue (my first choice but considerably more expensive than the grey) tempting. Firstly, It would mean trading a brand new piece with a pre-owned (which to some people, is not something to be worried about).Secondly, it would mean loosing my Nautilus.Thirdly, I would have to come up with approximately the double of the worth of my 5712.I find the 5960 design very interesting (and yes I have read that the 5960 has had many complaints about its movement breaking down, and chrono seconds hand falling out of line with 12 o'clock position) and it is also a platinum piece. It is also a step up from the Nautilus but again, a Nautilus is a Nautilus, a category on its own.Currently I own 3940G (I just returned my 3940J to the store where I purchased it as it was faulty), 3938G blue, 5712, and I just sold my 5164.Should I also sell my 5712 1/A for the 5960P? If no, case closed, if yes,
