Elgin Sterling Silver Trench Watch Restoration, Glow Hands & Dial
I just finished this Elgin today. I usually do not restore dials with luminous material along with the hands but I have been experimenting lately with some new things. This is a transition watch and the dial that is on this movement is the same one that was on it when I bought it awhile back. The dial was in VERY poor condition and almost un-usable. I sent the dial and hands out to Rob at International, I think that they did a fantastic job! The numerals and hands look white but they glow bright green in the dark. 15 jewel serviced Elgin movement from 1911, nice and big size 0s, 33mm! Sterling silver case manufactured by the American Watch Case Company, polished of course. Black nylon band with a new crystal.

Possible Vintage Frankenwatch? Thoughts?
Cleaning up my wife's late grandma's house, we came across this watch. It's marked Omega 17 Jewel Incabloc. Feels a bit light compared to my vintage Seamaster (166.0209). I'm taking it tomorrow to my watchmaker to have a pro look at it. Anyway, I can't seem to find any info on this watch. My guess it's a frankenwatch or a re-done dial. It's not quartz or automatic, it's a wind-up. Any thoughts would be great!Thanks, Cliff

5205 What dial color?
FellasI had been doing a little research and have my sight on the 5202. This year with the introduction of the rose gold model I am even more exited. What dial color do you guys like best? Do you think this particular model is too much for a 35 year old?Thanks in advance.
