Years ago when the first Hublot Big Bang came out it was an interesting watch to most people. It had an aggressive military and industrial sensibility to it that so many men enjoyed back then, and still enjoy today. Not everyone is in love with Hublot watches, but most tend to agree that the Big Bang was a solid design. So solid that for a long time Hublot became typecast as a firm making only Big Bang watches. Panerai 24 question (easy)
I have tried the 24 on at an AD in the past but cannot remember how thick it is. I know it is 44mm in diameter but could someone provide the thickness please?My plan is for the 24 to be my next purchase. Do not ask when because I do not even know. But I wanted to compare the thickness to my Planet Ocean which is 15mm thick. Thanks gents!~JBp.s. How easy is to turn the bezel when the watch is wet? Thanks!

Badly damaged/scratched/dented/beat up watches - not a pretty sight - PICTURES
I'm in two minds whether or not scratches or marks on an expensive watch gives it added character or just makes it look, well, beaten up. Just wondering if anyone has any pictures of when nice watches - expensive or otherwise - get damaged....and wants to tell us how...?I wear my watches quite loosely, so I'm always knocking them on walls, door frames or desks....this one example did get my quite annoyed with myself. Luckily I was only wearing a Fossil, bought for about ¡ê100 when I did this youtube/watch?v=4Lct1DIgw9Q on a night out. It's usually the clasps of my watches that get beaten up. So....any damaged watches you wish you could put back to their original state? Or does it make yours individual and add character? Pictures and/or explanation.I guess people who wear their watches loosely like me would have the most damage? Do heavy, chunky watches suffer more?

Pierce Chronographs
I wore this vintage Pierce Chronograph today for the first time. I picked-up 3 of them last year, and now I have had 2 of them serviced. So far, it's exactly as I hoped and keeps terrific time. (The repair guy I located to do the work did a great job!) These photos were from the seller before service. It's now wearing a nice thick Artisanal brown alligator strap. It uses the Pierce 134 (13 ligne) movement.Please show 'em if you've got 'em. :)
