I dread sending watches for service. It usually goes fine, but the risk of sending it off on a journey to be disassembled and all that...Anyhow, the crown in my three-year-old Aqua Terra has been extraordinarily stiff since the day it was new, and I think it has become even stiffer in the last few months. The crown does everything it's supposed to do, but every aspect of operating it is really stiff (unscrewing/screwing down, winding, pulling out to other positions, turning it to set the time, etc., everything feels really stiff).Until recently I figured I would just live with it until the watch is ready for its first full maintenance service, but lately I realize it's impacting my enjoyment of the watch, and now I'm also concerned that the seals around the stem could be faulty, and it really ought to be addressed.The watch remains under Omega's International Warranty, so I packed it up with a photocopy of my warranty card (per Omega's instruction) and a note describing the symptoms

Opinion needed on an Omega
Hi guys,I'm new to the forums. I was referred here by a member of a car forum. Anyhow, I'm looking into purchasing an Omega in the very near future. So far I've narrowed it down to either the Seamaster 300 M chrono diver or the 300 M chronometer.The design of the chrono diver is a bit more striking but the chronometer has the co-axial escapement. So I have two questions for you guys: which should I go with (which would YOU go with)?? and if I go with the 300 M chronometer, should I go with the quartz or automatic (any major things I should know about)??I'm new to watches for please forgive my ignorance. Thank you for any advice/opinion in advance!!

Patek Moment- Quick Story
Long story short- I was talking to a coworker today who said he would love to own an automatic watch one day, 'you know the kind that doesn't need a battery'. I nodded my head and smiled thinking about the millions of watches he could be referencing- from simple to grand complication..... He looked down at my watch and said, is that one of the ones that doesn't need a battery? I took my PP5167 off, handed it to him with the caseback forward so he immediately saw the movement.He had no clue what a Patek was, the name, the history, how much it was, or anything about it.But he did recognize what a rotor was, and how the watch worked, and yes it was 'the kind that doesn't need a battery'. He took a minute to stare at the detail and mechanics.... and then all he said was; this is exquisite, priceless...then handed it back to me with a smile and thanked me for showing him.Couldn't have been happier sharing that moment with a friend.Best

and they don't give a rat's about their customers.Bear with me.A few new Datejusts. Ok cool..A new movement put into basically the same watch with a crown at the 6 to differentiate. A new blue dial on a pre-existing white gold GMT. A white and a black OP 39. Oh, but wait they improved the lume. A horrific new Daytona.. and finally take some pre-existing blue and red ( ok really kinda purple and kinda red ) ceramic bezels they had laying around and put them on a SS GMT. But we will give it a jubilee bracelet to make everyone swoon. They couldn't even make this a Coke instead? Lazy. Rolex you have outdone yourself in ness. Makes me long for the awfulness of what was the Ceramic Yachtmaster II release. Rolex is just lazy. Resting on their laurels. away.
