BASEL 2011 - a bit more info....
For those who can't wait to find out what's new from Oris in the coming year, Baselworld 2011 offered a preview of their lineup - in some cases only pics/drawings were available as the models have not been produced yet.The main 'buzz' seems to be regarding the divers models; for some time now the Diver Date / Titan / GMT etc models have been easily identifiable by their tapered cases, a kind of Oris signature in the crowded lookalike world of dive watches.The latest divers have dropped the tapered case, for better or worse, and there is no indication whether the new models will be offered side by side with the 'classic' lineup, or if the old will be replaced by the new.The new dive models are 43mm, with a ceramic bezel and crown guards.A LE Maldives model will be released in the new dive case, with a caseback very similar to the Great Barrier Reef LE. 1000m, 43mm, 'LE' of 2000 numbered watches.With no one from WTF attending Basel this year I don't have access to any exclusive pics from

New strap. Good look?
So I recently got tired of my OEM bracelet and decided I would like to try on a strap for my Aqua Terra. I didn't want a generic leather and so I chose a genuine 19mm stingray. I really hate what seems to be a gaping hole between the bottom of the case and the strap but I suppose without end links it's to be expected... What do you guys think? Keep it on for a bit or just switch it back? I love the feel of it.
