- I was so excited to receive this watch. The face is wonderful and I love the soft colors in it BUT no matter how I looked at the watch, I could not read the time. IF ONLY the watch part was clearer I would buy it in a second.

IWC IWC 44899 wrist watches news:
I thought that some of you might want to know somewhat more about China's horological history.China is most likely the oldest civilisation which has survived to our days.As in most early civilisations time was measured by following the movement of the sun. The Chinese developed the first accurate sand clocks and above all water clocks. As in most ancient cultures time was measured predominantly for astrological and astronomical reasons. The goal was to be able to tell exactly when a rite had to take place for instance. The Chinese were masters in mathematics and in astronomy. By about the year 1000 they had developed many different ways of measuring time fairly accurately. In 1086, one of their most famous astronomers, Su Song, started the construction of his astronomical clock tower. It was in its times what the atomic clock is to our days. Su Song incorporated in his clock tower the first known escapement mechanism. This was a full 600 years earlier than in Europe!By the 14th century
About to pull the trigger on my very first AP (42mm ROO Slate Gray/ gray themes). The only hindrance that is letting me think twice are the ff:1) that the SS Bezel is a scratch magnet (what's your take?)2) issues regarding the movement (either too fast or too slow)*live in Manila, Philippines and to service an AP here takes around 2-3months turnaround since they will still take it to AP Singapore. Any feedback/ advice would be of great help! Thanks much guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
An omega forum in the uk?Or a specific omega forum??Thanks
A huge thank you to Ken HL65, Benlee for all his fabulous photos, Snipermaverick, kittayos and WhatTheDeuce for all of their advice! Most will not even remember me as I talked to them early in this journey, which started in 2014. I have been looking for this watch since then but was unable to even see one in person until a month ago when my nearest AD got one in. Tried it on and loved everything about it but was not sure of the thickness. Came back home to mull over it and realized I just LOVE this watch. It was the same time that yessir69 posted that his AD was losing PP and found out they had this watch in stock. Long story short, I had them order a deployant clasp and ship it to me and here it is!For the OCD members out there- yes, I still have not set the moon phase yet, I am sorry!!
I couldn't bond with my black dial Daytona. I wore it once and the legibility was an issue. As soon as I saw it I wasn't in love like I was with the rest of the collection, and that's when I knew it wasn't for me. I wish I could have tried it on before, but you know the story with that, no one has any to try.So..the fun money is back. What would you get for around $20k? Open to PP, AP and Rolex. I may get a white 500c, I knew all along I would like it better.Resale is important to me. I don't want to take a bath on it should I want to ditch it.Edit: decided to hold off for a bit. Gonna wait for something that really gets my attention; maybe Basel.
