Invicta 16317 wrist watches news:
I found a brand new President, day date, 18k white gold with black face, retailing for $25,600 on a one-time sale for thousands off. I guess rolex is discontinuing the watch? In any case, it seems like a no-brainer? Any thoughts? I put a deposit down at the jewelry store in Tampa (major jewelry chain) and tomorrow is the day.I've been researching for 48 hours, and it seems to me that YES...I guess these deals from Rolex don't happen very often?any help would be appreciated!Marty
I was just wondering if there has ever been any consideration of giving Seiko its own forum here on WTF. I mean, Gashutte and Muhle-Glashutte both have forums independent of the German forum, and Hamilton, Lum-Tec, and Ball all have their own forums independent of the American forum. I just notice that alot of the talk here in the Japanese/Asian forum is centered around Seiko and Citizen, while others such as Orient, Casio, Alpha, and the scores of "other" brands take a backseat. Maybe Seiko enthusiasts would be better served with a Seiko-specific forum? If this isn't the right way to suggest this, please let me know!
I got my first Seiko diver two weeks ago today, an SKX007. It was running about +8 seconds a day at the time. That dropped very quickly to within just a few seconds a day. So I played around with overnight positions and found the sweet spot. Now, if I rest it on the side opposite the crown overnight, it runs about +1 second a day. That's outstanding for a simple, common diver that cost me less than 200.00! I love it!Here's the same wrist shot I shared two weeks ago. I really need to make some decent photos...-Mark
I have several job interviews to attend over the next few weeks and wanting to purchase a new watch to wear to them.Recently my one and only Swiss watch which I purchase 6 years ago from a private jeweler in Basel Switzerland has gone missing! Sadly, I'm not sure whether I will find it - it may be lost forever. To replace it I would love something elegant and something minimal yet not too boring. I like a few models from Xen, Alfex, Xemex and also Stowa. I'm not a huge fan of all the big name watches, especially things like Tag and Omega or Seiko and Citizen etc These seem to be too popular for my liking.I would like something a bit more unusual - unique - understated but sophisticated!Willing to spend up to 500 USD but if I can get away with something that meets my needs for under 250 then that would be preferable.Ideally a mechanical watch is my preference, but if the watch is stunning looking and fits my needs visually then will consider a quartz. Also my wrist size is about 6.75" so
I gave my son a Planet ocean 2500C coaxial for his birthday just under 3 years ago. It started to run slow and erratically and went in to Swatch Co.New Jersey for repair under warranty. It came back to him in good working condition. Theyalso returned some parts that they replaced, including the dial and hands. Since the dial and hands were perfect and no aging etc. I wondered why they would be replaced! Would anyone know why, during a replacement of some parts and a service, the dial and hands would also be replaced? Just curious
