It wasn't until I needed to go ring shopping did I really learn to appreciate diamonds. As a guy, I just always assumed diamonds were for women. Sure some men have diamond rings and earrings - but that hardly represents the norm, at least here in the United States. Diamonds are a sure-fire sign of wealth, but they also represent the most basic and arguably unsophisticated form of luxury features - being really shiny. Though it does help their cause that diamonds are inherently rare. What I do however love, are watches. So what happens when you combine these two things?The "full pave" (or totally diamond covered) watch in the United States is often a simple code for "I have too much money, and perhaps not as much taste." While jealousy might have something to do with those thoughts, it is true that simply covering something normal with diamonds is a less than difficult (albeit expensive) way of adding luxury. How long can you delay a service for your watch?
I have read some stories of people having their watches without service and running smooth for 10 years.. 15 years...Does it have to be every 5 years.. right on time.. or do you guys do it every 7, or 10 years.??I have done mine every 5 years.. and in the long run, it is not that expensive but I was wondering where the 5 year service interval came out.. just from service center experience about the wear on the mechanical parts, oils etc..?Why is it not 3 or 8 years?

Hi Everyone:Joe DiMaggio is as much a part of Americana as Hamilton is - both represent the best of American culture and refinement and both served as the finest examples of American excellence. Hey everyone,I am one of the lurkers of this forum but I am participating in the upcoming GTG in NYC. I would like to know if anybody is going and looking to share a hotel room with another single person.I have called the Holiday Inn where we had a group rate and room block but it seems that they are sold out.
