- Yup. Good price. Flashy and understated (is that possible? yes). This thing rocks. I wont mention the chick magnet thing. But since I mentioned not mentioning it, you get the point.

Hi guys!Just returned from an extremely nice holiday on the Canarian Island of Tenerife Thought I'd share some memories with you Me in front of the local AD.Time to leave the shop. No Rolex for me this time, but the dealer was very friendly and gave me a catalogue and his card :thumbsup:I did buy a nice looking 18 carat gold bracelet a couple of days after at another jewellery store I brought the GMT Master with me
OK, so I am giving serious thought to the new SS Submariner. But at the same time, I'm asking myself about next year's orange hand Explorer II (which can be seen in this video - Video - TinyPic - H).Now, let me preface this by saying that I'm not looking to add to the number of stainless steel watches I own right now. But it's going to be tough not picking up one of these modern orange hand beauties. The new Sub is a much easier decision - sell my 16610, add a little cash, and it's a zero sum addition to the collection. But it will take a LOT of discipline to not add the new Exp. II next year. Maybe after it's been out a couple of years and can be had at a depreciated rate....hmmm....Anyone else excited about his one?
Hi can someone tell me if all Rolex models have the perpetual calendar function (specifically the Submariner) and exactly what perpetual calendar does (does it just recognizes if the month has 30 or 31 days or plus does it recognizes a leap years, etc and for how long for)? What would you do if one of these watches stopped or wasn't kept running constantly? Providing you don't keep it NOT running for more than a month and manually update it when u use it again can u keep the perpetual in check even if the watch stops? If not how would you set such a device if you did loose your place (do you just have to keep in mind how many day's it was off for and update when u start if up again?)thanks sorry again for the amateur questionalso just a quick one does the latest GMT only come with the GREEN GMT hand and what is the normal price difference between the Submariner, Sea Dweller and a GMT?Thanks again!
A lot of discussion has taken place on the use of a synthetic (Delrin) brake used in the Speedy movement. The brake is part of the stopwatch function and, possibly due to the self-lubricating and durability of Delrin, the change was made to this material. The controversy comes when you purchase the clear caseback models. Omega then changes the Delrin for metal, presumably for aesthetics rather than for functionality..For some reason, this piece of plastic (actually Delrin was manufactured as a synthetic stone) has divided the Omega enthusiasts into two very opinionated camps...Personally, I would like to see the Delrin brake, a space age composite that can be machined and colored, in the clear caseback models..
