PO bracelet problem
Hi,I have a 42 mm PO. I Love it but it is so heavy I thought about putting it on a strap, but I'd rather keep it on a bracelet.Does anyone know of a lightweight bracelet that would fit?One website has some unused old speedmaster bracelets that are quite light that it claims will fit any Omega with 20mm spaced lugs. Does anyone think that bracelet would fit my PO?Many

For those that do not know, a 'marriage watch' is usually a watch where the movement has been fitted into a different case for various reasons.To-day, I came accross this: R0LEX Co Ltd 25 WORLD'S RECORDS ANTIQUE WRISTWATCH 1936ORIGINAL ENAMEL DIAL & 15 JEWEL TIMED IN 6 POSITIONSOn examining the picture, we can see the crown is at 12 o clock, so we can then presume this watch is the movement from a pocket watch fitted in a new case.but I know Rolex ONLY made one (very brief) pocket watch in 19o5 period, then quickly moved to wrist watches.But according to the seller this IS an original Rolex (in a STAR case) I think NOT.But according to the seller this is an Original Rolex Face, I think NOT. Porcelain faces by 1936, I think not?The hands are wrong too.The whole watch is VERY strange. Anyone notice the watch mistake in the movie American Hustle?
My son and I watch the movie American Hustle yesterday and I spotted a fairly big production blunder. The movie was set in the late seventies to early 1980's and as most films do, great attention to detail was made for the characters, sets, and clothing to appear to be period correct. Christian Bale's character wore a yellow gold Rolex Day-Date which looked reasonably period correct - they didn't show any real close ups of it, but there was nothing glaringly incorrect that I could see. However, later in the movie we're introduced to Bradley Coopers boss - an FBI supervisor who in ~1980 is wearing a solid gold Rolex GMT Master II with a ceramic bezel....a watch which would not be made for about another 25 years after this movie was supposed be occurring. Not to mention the burning question of why a fairly low level FBI Supervisor is even able to afford a solid gold Rolex GMT??I got a fairly big eye roll followed by "Daaaaaaad....." when I pointed out this glaring mistake to my so

I decided to give my Speedy 145.022 Cal.861 some wrist time, I almost forgot how cool this watch is. It`s serial # is in the low 40mil. puts the age around 1977.It`s got some good patina on the dial hour markers.image upload no compression
