Anyone know anything about Tiffany branded Hamiltons?
I recently came across a Tiffany branded watch in a shop. The shop owner initially said he thought it was a swiss movement but it looked classic Hamilton to me. He opened it and sure enough it had a 982. I don't have a picture of it but if you look up a Rutledge it looked a lot like that. It's in very simple rectangular shaped 14K case - like a Rutledge. It had what looked to be it's original strap and box. The back was unengraved - nothing of any sort - not even Wadsworth. I didn't look inside the back though.I was a little surprised that it wasn't a Medallion movement and since I don't recall ever seeing anything Tiffany-related in the catalogs I thought I'd ask my WTF colleagues what they thought.Any idea what cases Tiffany watches used? Are there things to look for to make sure it's authentic and not just a Tiffany label on the dial? Would they use a 982 movement or only a 982M? Are they more / less collectable than it's Hamilton-branded peer? What do you think would be a

Seiko Battery Hatch
I have a Seiko 4336-8019 with the battery hatch in a snapon case back. It appears at the last battery change that the hatch was forced on 180d from where the arrows indicate. Now I can turn it in a 90d range but at no point does it want to pop off. I think this is some kind of bayonet mount and not a screw in.So, I tried using a case knife like this, to try and remove the entire back but apparently I can't find the knack of it either on this 4336-8019, or with a 6F22-7009 moon phase watch with a very smooth case back. I think I see the slight indentations on both cases at 3 o'clock. Maybe because my case knife is a cheapie, the blade isn't "sharp" enough to fit in the spot. Any advice on how to use this tool or how to deal with the off-phase battery hatch would be appreciated.

Windy & I went to give some money to the casinos today and I always stop in Tourneau in The Pier at Caesar's to kill a little time. It's gorgeous with a throwback appearance from the front, but the caseback was totally cool! It has the 12 sided rim like the old Conquest with the 19AS inside, and the logo of the 3 mast ship in the center like the old top of the line Flagships but in the size of the logo on the back of my vintage piece. It even had the same shade blue paint around the raised relief ship! I wish I could find a picture of it because the tone of the gold was even the same as the vintage pieces.
