Invicta 18447 wrist watches news:
Anyone had any dealer freebies thrown in with their purchase?Would be interesting to see some of the items offered by dealers, so far i've seen pens, table clocks, watch winders, bezel key rings and travel pouchesI'm not sure if the table clock is a freebie or was a short production run as an additional purchasable item?
I really don't understand why platinum pateks and well as other companies charge so much more for platinum watches. Years ago platinum cost much more then gold. These days platinum is about 950 us dolllars an ounce. Gold is about 1260 an ounce. Granted they use 18kt gold which is 75 percent pure which equals about 960 or so an ounce. Platinum in watches is 95 percent pure. Another words gold is worth more then platinum. For those of you who think platinum is harder to work with that's not true because I ask a refiner.
Thinking of the Nautilus line vs the Royal Oak, and I just thought I would ask, since a lot of our members own or have owned both.Honestly just curious on which holds up better with scratches.Logic tells me that the brushed design on both should mean they would pretty much be the same with this matter.Do you find that one of the two holds up better, or perhaps shows the scratches less obviously? This is not my deciding factor for purchasing, just in case you were wondering.Thank in advance all!
This past summer, I took a trip to Switzerland, and with a lot of effort, I arranged to buy a 114060 Submariner (no date) while I was on my trip (I decided that I preferred the no date version over the date version, but didn't give much thought to the Hulk because it wasn't as classic). By way of background, I have several watches including a Patek Nautilus in steel (5712A), and wanted a Sub to wear primarily on the weekend and as a pool/ocean watch or just wanted to change up my look. I also have a Panarai 359 as a casual watch (with a date), so the sub was meant to be more of a beater watch for me when I didn't want to wear the 5712 or PAM 359 (I also have a JLC dress watch as well as a Bell & Ross time only BR-01 on a rubber strap).I also wanted to add a Rolex to my collection, so this trip to Switzerland seemed like a great opportunity to pick one up in the motherland...My plan for this particular Rolex was/is to keep it forever given the extra sentimentality of getting it in S
Where do you take the wrist measurement from? My Sky D required an extra link. When i measure my wrist at the low point on my arm I get 7.75. If i measure with the crown of my Luminox at the low point of my wrist and mark the center of the band I get 8.0625-8.125. Where are the max wrist lengths of the various models listed? I know they arent all the same as the DSSD doesn't require an extra link for me. How much extra length if any should you allow for? Thanks,Marc
