Longines L3.659.4.56.6 wrist watches news:
Armin Strom is the newest watch makers around who is proud to announce that they will be making their own movements. Funded by some big money gentlemen who want results, they wanted their brand to have in-house made movements, so they made it happen. Until now Armin Strom watches featured impressively decorated movements sourced from ETA, but that is all about to change. The ARM09 is proof of that. Usually when a watch maker releases their first in-house made movement it is fine. Nothing special, but it is still their own "baby." Armin Strom on the other hand has given us something very pretty, with impressive specs to make. One thing I can't get out of my mind. The design on the movement has an uncanny resemblance to another watch I know. Compare the Armin Strom calibre ARM09 with the MB&F HM3 (specially the Sidewinder). I don't even need to explain, you'll see how similar they are. ARM09 stands for "Armin?? Reserve Marche 2009." This should make sense. For those who don't know, Re
Nearly all dive watches have a rotating bezel (in fact most would not call a watch without a rotating bezel a diver at all), and the purpose of the bezel is to time things, specifically dive times, right?Bear with me, I'm getting to it...A lot of bezels have a red (or contrasting colour) indication from the zero mark to the 15 mark - see pic below:My question, and apologies if this is really stooopid, but why is the red 'zone' from 0 to 15, instead of 45 to 0???I would have thought that you would want a warning area on the bezel as you were approaching the one hour mark, ie, when the air in your tank is running low.Or is the red zone meant as a warning that you are OVER your safe limit of one hour?I'm confused because putting the red zone from 0 to 15 doesn't allow you to use it to countdown to anything - if you set the bezel to zero at whatever time you start timing something, it is in the red zone for the first 15 minutes of timing, which doesn't seem to make sense to me. Cany anyone
Simply a stunner. .watchcollectinglifestyle....-2015-in-milan

My small, modest collection consists of a Speedy Pro, Tag Heur Monaco, Eterna Kontiki, and the BLNR. At this point, I don¡¯t want to flip any as they are each special to me in their own way. I¡¯d like to add another Rolex at some point soon. I really like the SD43 and the Hulk. The white Daytona C looks amazing, but this is not a realistic option for me from and AD and the premium is too steep. I don¡¯t wear suits to work. A nice shirt/polo and slacks usually suffice. I don¡¯t think I need a dress watch at this point and when I do, the Monaco usually works pretty well for me. Right now, I¡¯d say it¡¯s between the sd43 and hulk, but I¡¯m definitely open to other suggestions. Thanks so much! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
