Movado 01-0051-380 wrist watches news:
The Cartier Cl¨¦ ("Cl¨¦ de Cartier") Mysterious Hour watch is probably my favorite new Cartier men's watch model debuted here at Watches & Wonders 2015 in Hong Kong. It is actually a combination of three existing Cartier elements. First, is the also new-for-2015 Cl¨¦ de Cartier watch (hands-on here) collection case. Next, is the in-house made Cartier caliber 9981 MC which was debuted in 2013. And last, is a presentation of Cartier's particular form of semi-skeletonized dial that we have seen from almost the beginning of Cartier's higher-end "haute horology" collection of timepieces. In 2013, I went hands-on with the Rotonde de Cartier Mystery watch that was inspired by historic Cartier clocks which use transparent discs to move hands. These were dubbed "mystery clocks" because it was not obvious how the hands were connected given the illusion that they were floating. This technique has been applied to timepieces before, but Cartier introduced the "mystery" hands which are on transparen
When a watch is reduced to only the most basic of design vocabulary, one of a few things tends to happen. They can be stark and cold, like something spit out by a machine. Structural and graphic as though complimenting more the architecture around a person than the person themselves¡ Or sometimes, they can just be a breath of fresh air. Stock Watches are the latter. With watches that are stripped down to little more than line and tone, Stock has managed to create a blissfully minimal line that have a surprising amount of charm.A quick glance at the S001, Stock's first series, might bring to mind the watches of Max Bill, Braun and Uniform Wares. With simple cylindrical cases, straight lugs, clean dials and stick hands they clearly all share a Bauhaus aesthetic, Max Bill of course being largely the source. Though similar, there are details of the S001's that give them a unique character, such as the 36mm case design and subtle dial coloring, and they happen to be the most affordable. At
This one is a little trickier but more power to the one who gets it right.....:)What do you think it is..??? ;)
I have always been slightly enamoured by the Marathon line. (Nothing like a caseback that is engraved.......Watch, Wrist). Don't hear much about them in WIS circles, and only seem to be had at weird gun-nut sites and military surplus stores. Due to the economy, I'm taking a second job this season at the golf course again, so I was able to convince my gullible wife that I needed a bullet-proof watch to mow the fairways with. I like the 46.6MM size but was'nt willing to pay 2,200.00 for the Valjoux 7750 CSAR. The JSAR came out in November of 07 and has had very spotty availability. Picked one up today. Will let you know more about it when it arrives!Pics from Seller.
As you may know I started with Rolex used to be,3135 and especially the 4130 mvmnt is pretty accurate if well regulated and staying so for years. My 5712 w the cal 240 was okay initially 1-2s/day but seems we are after the honeymoon phase ,during the day is very accurate but it does 5sec w dial up overnight and 1-2s if left on crown up or down. You may say it s time to regulate however i m afraid we talk about weeks for a simple regulation job-which is about 5minutes if you bring a Rolex to the RSC-.:-(Any experience with the rate stability of Pateks ?do you think it s better to live with it and wait for a couple of months to see if it s getting worse. Thanks for your input
