Omega 231.50.43.22.06.001 wrist watches news:
This Sea Glo just sold on the swamp for what I thought was a ridiculous amount for a stainless steel model with a Swiss movement.Mens HAMILTON "SEA GLO" - 1958 - eBay (item 260815331461 end time Jul-17-11 18:30:05 PDT)Is this watch extremely rare, or is this just a case of two people who really wanted this watch?I have a Sea Glo in my future project drawer (which I probably got for around $35) which needs an overhaul and a dial refinish. Do I have a hidden treasure?Has anyone sent this type of dial to ID? I assume that they can handle the three dimensional dials, but I have never had one like this refinished.
From everything I've read, this cannot be Swiss Made...Does anyone know any different? My understanding is that during the period this watch was made, supposedly 1950, there were no Swiss Made versions....Over zealous dial remake?Edited by Rusty to conform with forum rules.
Thanks to Ali Boursachi. I got my baby back. Love it !ImageUploadedByTapatalk1359515646.172775.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1359515676.355215.jpg
So, my new to me 2255 has been with me 2 days now. I have noticed I can hear/feel the rotor much more than my Rolex watches. Is this normal, I thought I read somewhere that Omega uses a ball bearing or different mechanism that makes the winding rotor more noticable?Just trying to learn a bit more about the watch. Could a noisy rotor mean it could be due for a service? It appears to be keeping good time.
Hi I'm completely new to the panerai world and would like to get your expert opinion. I have 6.75 wrists and normally wear Rolexes (Daytona, BLNR, Seadweller4000). So I'm used to 40mm. What your thoughts on size on my wrist with these two PAMsToo big for my wrists? I know PAMs are supposed to look big. Maybe I'm just too used to Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
